Hi Stickman

I present a weekly chart which still shows the potential of a c&h, despite today's gap down.

nadwkly

The weekly shows indicators primed for an ascent. Stochastic sitting in the o'sold zone, MACD moving up towards the 0 line (plus there is a "hidden bullish" MACD divergence (78% success rate in my recent study).

Your daily shows the volume to have reduced on the fall - no change today, ie the gap was produced on small volume and trading today produced a bullish candle with a tail.

The daily, to me, shows the down trend already broken.

But there are too many solid candles there on the weekly - is that a bear flag?? and I would be looking for a couple of good bullish looking candles and a break over 0.4c (and maybe some news) before I was convinced that price was going to retest the 0.050/0.055 area. MAs are also clustering, but slightly pointing downward. I would be cautious and await some confirmation rather than buying just at the turn.

Elisabeth

(PS ~ I really like the simplicity of your charts - apologies for cluttering mine up with indicators…)

Hi,
As I understand it, the handle in a cup and handle formation should not be more that 1/3 rd the depth of the cup so I would say then that it a failed C & H.

...and another Bloody Mary, por favor !

My understanding is that a handle can go down to 50% but that there is a greater chance of failure, this one looks like it has gone further than 50%.

Though volume has behaved perfectly for a c&h, another guideline is that the handle should form above MA200, otherwise the pattern is weak.
