Rather than continue with the old I thought I'd start afresh. Here is an NR4 that looks like a reversal point. Or continuation.
Anyway, the smallest inside range for yonks.

Ahoy Officer Sticks I appreciate you letting me having my head this week on our Little Weekly Competition Thanks
PS Does the NR4 and BF set-ups fail in sympathy to each other? PPS Do you have figures on the success rate of NR4 and BF(Blind Freddy) set ups PPPS: What I am asking Do they fail at the same time? OR Am I Crazy?

As stated previously (not in this thread) NR4 and it's exact opposite, the engulfing candle - the widest bar in a series, works best when it occurs within a pattern. At such times it may in fact be the pivot point on which the direction of the trend may turn. I have tried scanning for NR4s but frankly, you get too many of them that fail. I don't have numbers to back this up though. I suspect volume - or lack thereof, may also have quite a strong influence on the effect of this bar on the ensuing trend. Sadly at times it's increased volume while at other times it's thin volume that one finds with NR4. And at other time, no change at all. Init xiting ?

Hi Hershy, Here is the chart of the next couple of sessions. As the momentum in the US gathers for them to hand over power in iraq and look to withdrawal the better the gold price will be. Just my opinion.

I'm still learning to correctly identifying NR4 Inside days. But with OXR, if we get a close about 3.29/3.30 today, are we looking at a NR4 today..? So if using this as a trigger, i would enter short/long Below the close/open of todays candle.?
