I converted from 4 to 5. I didn't change any settings but the short-term timeframe chart looks different. V4
V5
I don't mind the thicker bars on the MACD but I find the thicker price bars too overpowering. The colours of the green and red seem to be shouting at me which is distractive. Can you suggest adjustment methods and post the standard price bar colour values for V4? I made the font smaller myself because it felt funny too me. It took some of the pain away but it actually wasn't the problem as I see now. I also notice that the curvature of the MACD green line has become a lot smoother on Oct 25, 2006. The BB centre line has a different look on Nov 23, 2006. This may be because of the wider price bars.

I disagree with you OKH There is no point in having Thick Black spaces between thin candlesticks I think the changes are for the Better! Much Better! Salute and Well done Admiral Col'n
PS Unfortunately I don't feel computer literate enough to upload the Preview Version and have therefore decided to wait for your Automatic Update for Dummies The Automatic way always seems to work for me without any hassles

OHK, I see that you found the adjustment. Users can experiment with settings at Format Charts --> Indicator Width --> Set Maximum Candle Width Value: 1 to 5 The Default setting is a lot higher but the difference is not really significant until you use the zoom function. Regards, Colin

The pointer on a caption does not end in the shape of an arrow anymore. The crosshairs-cursor intermittently doesn't display. A chart without trendline tends to not display the crosshairs-cursor until one is added to the chart. A chart with trendline tends to not display the crosshairs-cursor until one hovers near or over a trendline. Sometimes a chart with trendlines only displays the crosshairs-cursor after turning off and on.

OHK, Do the crosshairs display when you click on the chart (and it becomes the active window)? Regards, Colin

After reading your question I switched to IC and clicked on the price chart window. I hovered over the chart. I hovered over the trendline. No crosshairs-cursor displays. The crosshairs-cursor option is turned on though shown by the square around its button. I then turned it off and back on and the crosshairs-cursor displays.

OHK, The crosshairs are disengaged to activate the trendline features (click and drag etc.). I do not know whether it is possible to leave them on until the trendline is actually clicked, but you would lose the (hand) indicator that the trendline has been selected. Regards, Colin

We inadvertently turned off the dates on the x-axis when adding some final polish to the 5.0.0.5 update. Apologies for any inconvenience caused. We should have a correction ready this evening. Regards, Colin

To Colin and Co. I finally got around to trying version five of incredible charts. I love the new trendline buttons on the toolbar. My main analysis tool is the good old trendline. Drawing of trendlines and manipulation of trendlines have become quicker and easier. Once again you have outdone yourselves. Very well done. Thank You TradeMaker
