Hi Colin Do you think there would be more benefit in having the current "Vote" in relation to each post, replaced by a simple "Agree" / "Disagree" button? It's my opinion that the current system of voting - using a scale from 1-5, with 1 being "worst" & 5 being "best" - doesn't tell the poster all that much about his post. However, a simple "Agree/Disagree" function provides an opportunity for all readers to give quick feedback to the poster about how the forum views his/her post. (E.g. Feedback of: - 10 people "Disagree" - 1 person "Agrees" would give more constructive feedback; compared to the current voting system). More importantly, too, it will provide posters with an opportunity to disagree without getting personal, which can often lead to unpleasantness and endless arguments! Regards Dean

How does 'disagreement or agreement' provide any more value? People disagree with me more often than they agree with me but they fail to see that they are the ones in the wrong. I actually prefer and seek thoughts and ideas that differ from mine because they might bring about a change in mindset and offer new solutions to old problems. I hate to be wrong but accept this dreadful feeling due to an urge to become smarter. People in agreement with me bore me. They provide me with knowledge I already have. The star system is much more suited because it only points out posts that raise awareness in people. It makes no judgment in terms of value because each person forms their own opinion.
