Whenever I type a caption I always have to type it twice or it does not work. Could this bug be looked at thanks.

Phil, Does this occur if you use your keyboard and not your mouse? For example, place the caption then type: "A", enter key, "comment", enter key. Regards, Colin

Colin Another member pointed out if I click ok twice it works. Its the same if I use my keyboard and hit enter after typing some text then the words 'No Caption' appear. If I then hit enter again it works ok. Its a little confusing. But now I know how it works its ok. But maybe something to look at in future.

After you have entered the caption it prompts you for a comment. Hit enter twice to bypass this. Regards, Colin

philr, You have the chart of the XAO and have just read Colin's latest diary commentary. Click caption and type " Colin 19/12" (the caption Marker). Click ok and paste his copied comments - or type whatever you want - and click ok again. Now you will see the caption marker, and if you move your cursor over the caption marker the caption message will pop up. Took me an embarrassingly long time to realise the above :-) tyche

Thanks for the feedback. I just think its an unnecessary step to have to hit enter twice.

philr, It's an unnecessary step to have to hit enter twice if you never enter a message in the body of the caption and are content with the limitations of using just the caption marker. The message body takes a lot more text than the marker. Think caption marker for headline, and the second part for the full story. I use caption marker on its own for brief captions such as "Bt 10k 3.25 18/12", but for longer texts use both marker and message body.

tyche Not really sure what you mean. I can only get it to put in one piece of text.

At the prompt "Please enter caption marker" type something and click ok. You are now presented with the request "Please enter desired caption" - type something else to replace the highlighted default "No caption", then click ok. You now have a caption showing the first entry (the caption marker), and when you run your mouse over the caption a popup will show the second thing you entered. So simple once the penny drops, but as I said, I ignored the second part for years:-( tyche
