thanks for the awesome new version. i have some questions/issues: 1)ATR horizontal lines can be set at values 1 to 99. most shres i look at have ATR of less than $1 so whatever values i choose i cant seem to display the new horizontal lines. 2)yahoo data only seems to load 9 or 10 months irrespective of the project default. eg BCA.NZ . I know yahoo has more than 9 months data, but sometimes its on multiple web pages 3) is there any way to save data to disk. the load from disk is great.

Risk, 1. ATR signal lines will have 0.01 increment in the next version with a range from 0.01 to 99.99. 2. Yahoo may only have 9 or 10 months data - please provide a security with this problem - I'll check how much data Yahoo have for it. 3. There isn't a way to save data to disk. Robin

thanks robin, for the yahoo data, I get 9 or 10 months for any company in New zealand. For example HQP.NZ or BCA.NZ or even TEL.NZ I have checked yahoo and they do have more than 9 months data, so Im not sure why IncredibleCharts doesnt load and show it.

Risk, I've just had a look at HQP.NZ. If you go to Yahoo's Historical Prices page for this security they provide data going back to 6 Jan 2000 on their pages. However if you click the Download To Spreadsheet link on this page ( just below the prices ) you will find they only download data from 18 Oct 2004. You will need to correspond with Yahoo to ascertain why they are only providing shortened histories for New Zealand securities via the Download to Spreadsheet button. See Yahoo! Finance Quotes Questions and Comments / FAQ. Thanks, Robin (Message edited by robin on August 09, 2005)

From previous posts other users seem to have had success with the 'loading from disk' function. Could someone explain in a bit more detail how to make this work. I used the example link to ^N225 data on the 'what's new' page, I saved that file to a folder on my hard disk then pressed ctrl+d in IC but no matter what I entered in the fields no chart would load. Could someone provide a walk through please, I'm keen to put this feature to use. Cheers.

Imagine, In the "What's New" page there is a link to "Import Data From Disk". From this link there is a a heading that talks about the Data Format. Only Yahoo format is allowed. If you open up the sample it will show you the required format. Note that you must provide a Comma Separated Value (CSV) file, and that the date format must match that shown, and be in the same order. If you don't get the date format right it will not show any chart at all. Hope that helps. Regards, Starb'd

Hi All I am having the same problem as Imagine. I have downloaded the data I want from Yahoo (still only 9 months), & have it in a folder on my hard drive. I have loaded the pathway to that file in the "Select ASCII data folder" area. But no matter what I do I can't get the data to load & produce a chart. Where exactly is this "d" meant to go? A "d" is automatically put in front of the file name when I attempt to load. The message reads: "D_^FBU.csv is currently not available. (0) Status Code: 998 " Can anyone help? Thanks P

Pauline, If you are using the dialog under Securities >> Load by Symbol from Disk to attempt a load from disk, you don't need to enter the d_, as the d_ is only required when using the Securities Text Input on the toolbar. Robin

Cor, I finally figured it out. It was the '^' symbol. Once I dropped that a chart magically appeared. This also means I can work around the 2 day delay in Yahoo data. I just manually update the spreadsheet with EOD data. I only trade 2 NZ stocks so its not too labour intensive. P

Morning Robin, Thanks for the new update. I have found on my system that two of my project files don't show the indicator information upon opening, it can be brought up by clicking on the individual indicator with the 1 or 2 button. Others I have available are all normal I have included the screen shots for your information. Have checked numerous files and it only appears to be these two, the first is one of your defaults with minor adjustments, the second is of my creation, the change has only happened today after the update, last night it was normal. Your help is appreciated. Regards G

Gohard, To adjust the number of indicator slots that are actually displayed, select View >> Advanced Options >> Visible Indicator Slots on the charts menu. Regards, Colin

Hi Gohard, Did you follow Colin's advice and increase the View >> Advanced Options >> Visible Indicator Slots value ? If so, what was the previous setting of that value upon your changing it ? Thanks, Robin
