I have added my comments agreeing with the value of Stan's book. I am confused about the update as I have just purchased the book but the date of publication is 1988?

gershon - 1988 is the only edition i've seen - hence earlier comments about the big hair on the cover. bought my 1988 in 1999. if you've got an update (which i haven't seen), still on 1988 edition - maybe a few peripherals like chart examples are more recent???
never fear - what he's got to say hasn't dated one bit. hope you get as much enjoyment out of it as the rest of us.

Stan arrived on my doorstep yesterday, I can see why he is so highly recommended by you ones, there looks to be a lot of information to absorb. The mind boogles poor thing. Well, better get into it I suppose. I'm looking forward to understanding what some of you are trying to teach us learners. Thanks for all the insights given in this forum
