A good read for a rainy day. The book narrates the experiences of Jesse Livermore - a hugely successful stock/commodities trader in the 1920's and 30's. Full of absolute gems of trading wisdom including my favorite: "It was never my thinking that made the big money for me. It was always my sitting. Got that? My sitting tight!....... That is why so many men in Wall Street, who are not at all in the sucker class, not even in the third grade, nevertheless lose money. The market does not beat them. They beat themselves, because though they have brains they cannot sit tight." The book is full of amazing characters, each trying to extract a fortune from the market - not always in the most ethical fashion. Not much has really changed. Colin
