The screen order said 15.81 and my CMC account said I bought at 15.88. What a joke. Next time i will be doing a screen shot to prove my price. At a CMC meeting in Brisbane a few traders complained of this practice. I don't know if this answers your question but I think you need a buy limit to stop this happening. If you buy at market you take your chances it will move while waiting in line for yours to get filled. You could finish up with several entry prices as the market moves until you get all your order filled. Also keeping an eye on the Market Depth can help see the numbers where you can buy or sell. Quoted pre-open prices aren't necessarily going to be correct. If you want to attempt to buy at cheaper than market price, then you would use a limit order instead. He didn't agree to buy at $15.88 and once that confirmation screen disappears there is no evidence unless it's saved.
