When I was living in the US during the dot com boom I used to watch Jim Cramer on TV. I loved his attitude. I am not much for listening to analysts' recommendations but at least he was fun to listen to.

I still read his free articles and recaps and I got to say he is no different from any other analyst. Jim's recommendations are like a yo-yo at times.

WWY has a possible H&S bottom and he touts players are selling it at $46:

Then the price runs up and he suddenly recommends it at $53:

The problem is not with his recommendation but with the risk associated with it. He might have stopped somebody from buying at $46 with minimal downside risk. Now he coerces people to buy it with a possible $7 drawdown to prepare for.

The more I scrutinise his picks based on my own experience the less respect I have left for him.
