I'm concerned that a lot,if not most, methods cater for Big Money or at least, more money than a "beginner" usually may start with. I think that a lot of "Wise Wisdom" is quite irrelevant to the common, ambitious, aspirational, genuine to have a Go types that one sees sometimes arrive at this Forum. So I'm going to try and discuss Variations,Permutations if not outright Deviations from Common Wisdom usually parroted out to "Newbies". I like to think that this MAY fast-track,give current up2date systems for such "Pilgrims to MaMMon" to get established but it could also quite possibly lose them their money in one foul swoop! Better that,I reckon, than the "slow burn" the respectable, proper,by the book Systems can inflict on them. So that's what this thread is going to be about and Any'n'ALL who have $25,000 or less or who once had only that and Built It,are welcome, urged to contribute. If you're flying Qrtr Mil and UP? well,Patronising will not to be tolerated. Happy Trading.

FIRST DICTUM- It's ALL OWN MONEY. Not Borrowed or Begged, your only 25grand[or less]HAS to be YOURS. to do with as you choose/decide. so all cfd etc Chat is OFF d'AGENDA. Now I think ya CAN do it with Fifteen.Grand or Trading Days but 25k is "easier". This 25 grand could be a Proportion of a larger Stash, but my purpose is to Discourse on a System for the Aspirationals. It's Double ya Dosh Territory. Edgy; ya know?

Beyond Fear'n'Greed lies Regret. A Momentum System has as it's Angle, that at least you'd probably looked at,watchlisted d'Chart before it did d'rocket or rising 3. It's a matter of Gee I missed that one but ya can't be On Everything. regret with Style, that's Momentum. The Ones that got Away become the Some that Don't!!

Things to DITCH- Safe,sane,non-controversials especially Blue Chips be they Warren Buffett Pearls or TV Commentatory. One who is on a Path to Double Dosh [as Effectively Quick as they can,] have their Patience Tested by waiting on set-ups but surely any and all advice to Get Rich Slowly becomes quite irrelevant if one is Paltry Grand Dashing. A thosand bucks is a Score. Especially on a 3 THREEer.Not that Crash Hot on Five though; but when you've just $25k max? the Parameters lay out is a Grand x Time mixed with 72. but won't go there again til later. So in Wrap Up.The Plot so far.... System for $25k Pilgrims requires Momentum.

"Planning a $25,000 Cruise " There must inevitably be very wide gaps in most sailors’ experience, however extensively they have sailed the Global Exchange. For instance, it would be perfectly possible to sail around the world on either the South-East Trade Winds or the Roaring Forties without being unlucky enough to encounter a fierce storm or life-threatening gale. Similarly, it would be perfectly possible to sail a ship for a length of time and have an enjoyable cruise. Few things in this world can give more lasting satisfaction than the achievement of a successful cruise. Sometimes the smaller the yacht, the rougher the global weather conditions, the more ambitious is the cruise and the greater is the satisfaction. So why have so many of us set sail at the wrong time, disembarked too early and even stayed ashore for the duration of some of the best sailing seasons seen in years? Furthermore, there are very few sailors who can claim consistent successful experiences, in short, medium and long-term ocean voyages. Even including those who consider themselves first class mates with the designers, ship builders, brokers and extremely close to the start of the good information chain reaction. With the latest developments and introduction of very sophisticated computer soft and hardware packages, together with the enormous revolution taking place in the information and communication technology arenas, this will now be very different. In the future, only those who go to sea with the latest technology will have any chance of making an enjoyable voyage and win any meaningful race. But the most serious gap in the knowledge of most of us, is that before now there is hardly anyone who can compare from first hand observation the behaviour of more than just a few yachts under the full range of conditions they will meet at sea on the Global Exchange at the same time and under exactly the same sea, ocean and weather conditions. In forming our ideas of what is best we therefore have to depend on the reports of others, lots of luck, give lots of excuses and brainwash ourselves into believing "She’ll be all right in the long term. Unfortunately sometimes she is, but for the most of us, she isn’t. Overcome with this false sense of security we go down below, strap ourselves into our bunks and ponder our fate. There are very few places in the world that have not been visited by yachtsmen, yet it is surprising that some still set out for a cruise when the experience of their predecessors could have told them that the climate made it virtually impossible. The winds and oceans currents rendered the cruise extremely dangerous and his selection of course to be life threatening. By surveying past and present voyages skippers will now be able to survey any number of craft, their own performances in different seas, together with all the prevailing global conditions captured at the same time, much closer than was ever previously possible. A quick survey of the many charts will clearly testify to the fact that sometimes a lot of ground can be covered in many craft in the good times, only to see all gains lost and even end up further south than had ever been envisaged. The pleasure of a cruise on the Global Exchange whether it is a way of life upon the sea or a convenient way of visiting interesting places can be almost unlimited; Yet equally the discomforts can be quite horrifying. The difference between these two extremes depends on seamanship, the art of living upon the sea. Also the pleasure of any cruise is enhanced enormously if the crew are confident in their own ability. Any anxiety in the minds of the crew is readily expelled if these events are practiced under real conditions. “All-Out ocean trials” is intended to meet all situations at sea, it must be carried out at sea as far as possible. Far from land with all its distractions. Far from old sailors tales and rumours of hidden treasures, long- range weather forecasters, academic and fundamentalist fortune-tellers, yesterday’s news reporters and the media circus and all the pressure they can bring to bear. In planning any cruise the first consideration should be in "SHIP DESIGN" I offer this Classic Ship Design I have sailed quite successfully over a number of years which I feel could be rigged out for $25k or more
I invite any other good ship designs that could be rigged out for only $25k Here we see a 5 sail rig at a cost of $5000 per sail Salute and Gods' speed

One of the things not covered much in info for newbies , is learning how to cope with losses. Finding the amount of money you can lose without stressing out , getting up a cold sweat or hot flush and feeling sick. Thats important i feel. For 5 positions what are we risking? $500 ?

danielc I like your selections: MPO has been moving up nicely the last couple of days on good volume. Likewise with COK only not as much volume. I did run a scan on it recently that showed it was a stock that is moving from stage 1 to stage 2. EVE I have not looked at for a while but after checking the chart see that it may be starting a move.

Ahoy Sea-Cadet Mum The first thing you must learn to appreciate at Sea is losing a sail Shit happens! and the fact is you could lose more than One sail worth $5000 Shit can happen to us all Crikey! You would have to be plain unlucky to have Unluck strike every - one of your five sails!!!!! I tend to back my seamanship judgement on the outset and then average down if the market allows I never average up!!! I think that is plain greedy!! The trick is to overcome adversity AT ALL COSTS! And NB:Safety at Sea is Paramount! I call it Seamanship! Salute and Gods' speed
PS: When was the last time you saw one of the Captain's shares go to nothing? NEVER! It just hasn't happenrd so far So far so good? But we all know it is going to happen ONE DAY If you want to watch shares that go to nothing I suggest you check out the Long term trenders Thet are notorious for holding onto a Bad Thing No personals intended to all those strong holders in the long term I just find it hard to put my head around the fact that some people say they can see well into the future and can't see what's in front of them tomorrow or in the next few days

daniel Just checked the volumes and you are correct on a weekly basis volume is up about the same % for both stocks. Only thing I don't like about MPO is the upcoming consolidation they are always a pain. Charts below for info.
