Working on your 30day Momentum List, lafee. and it occurs to me that we need a computer or at least net/googler extrordinaire.Don't mean you,Lafee, okay? Not calling you to a task, all right? it's just Ann had this method, she could produce lists of All Listed Companies in an Industry. These lists were even differentiating on a basis say of mineral sought or produced. You probably weren't here, then lafee but well, kate does these, too.but she's choffed off but i seem to remember elizabeth asked ann donkeys ago; and Ann she came that sly edge2self,melbournestuff but on the basis of all girls together,Ann told someone, even gave site links. but it coulda been kate not elisabeth. Now this particular Thread is real archive stuff, lafee. Long Term got deep archived, and unfortunately you can't expect me to remember this seeked posts Title. but what's being said here is....... look if you can understand the above you're who we could be looking for!

Dug I believe Captain has easy access to such information. My US based software does not give that level of detail on the ASX. Cheers Lafee

i'd hoped to find he weren't d'Only One,lafee. Captain's a Big One for Lawyers,Spies and Money,as you well know, lafee. how about you ask him? Charles don'y really like me callin' him Chuck and I'm KNOWN for loving an Enemy! Ones so you Wanna Play? and though it may seem charlie and me are in detente. still stirs. Anyone who could just do a IC search on Ann would find what we're looking for.Last 50 posts should uncover examples of her Lists, thread titles, not bobs ya uncle abilities required. not that i'm advocating Ann's Return..but just mellowing... 4pm 1hour after Close where i come from. regards.

myklan, so very close but no Cigar. That's the LISTS produced by Ann BUT Not HOW they were formulated, what search established the Lists. Ann used to have a Thread in Long Term. It's THERE not in Traders Groups she gave out only Once How she did these lists.[There's also some lists there] Subsequent to that thread in your link, myklan Charlie Chucked Ann OverBoard. She'd insulted one of his male friends so there was a Tiff, kerfuffle.Ann took umbrage and started posting in the Long Term Thread which is a Topic that Charles never/rarely goes to. If you can identify from Ann's old posts some [about 100 say from her last ever post]that are in Long Term then we may/can find our answer. Can't do it myself, all too advanced for me. cheers.

Dug, The lists have come from http://www.standardandpoors.com/ she mentions on http://forum.incrediblecharts.com/messages/316907/556876.html at the Standard and poors site: http://www2.standardandpoors.com/portal/site/sp/en/au/page.topic/indices_asx200/ 2,3,2,8,0,0,0,0,0,5,1,0,0,0,0,0.html you can get a list of the energy, materials, industrials etc groupings. Still looking into it, but thought this was a good start. Will advise to what level the info is available.

myklan, You're getting close, obviously you are putting in some effort and it is appreciated but you are missing the Core which I'll try and elaborate on. The Standard and Poors/CIGS[whatever] Lists are Useless for Small Stock Traders to use. Why? because they are weighted and emphasise Movement only by Blue Chips in a Sector. From memory the IT index for example is 90% based on Compushare. If a Small Market Cap Share Trader uses only the S&P lists as their guide to "Hot" Sectors?well there's a problem that I hope you see. Ann's lists from 2005 are now out of date.Take no account of New Issues and/or Company changes in Focus/What they do. I'm looking for THE Method that lists all listed companies into narrower classifications of What They Actually Do while S&P lists lump/chuck especially small companies into a "This'll Do" list. will do some scratching around over weekend to aid as much as i can to this quest. cheers.

Got a Private Email with this one for Mining Shares- www.e-cbd.com/mining.htm did a blink look.it comes up with Google Style lists on say OIL that gives the Name and ASX codes to link then to the Company Web Sites. ie You can't download,it seems,a File of Names and Codes, you'd have to go back to paper'n'pencil, how dull! Now the Problem is that this site may have changed Format since Ann "graciously" shared this info.I mean this Could Well be the Site mentioned in the "Lost" Ann Long Term Thread. A memory comes back to me that because it related Only to Mining was why I didn't take it down at the Time. I mean Ann used to be able to pull lists on listed companies in any and all Activities/Sectors,specific NOT those Lump'em Together Standard and Poor and not just Mining. Anyway, forum member kate does the lists I'm talking about but she's buzzed off and being one of dem,you know Southerners from deluded Melbourne will probably clutch the Knowledge instead of spreading d'Word especially if approached by a ratbag such as I,hey? so this is a progress report.I can continue with my ad-hoc ways, they suit me but if YOU want some computerised, scientific method of identifying listed companies in a particular sector/activity there is a Way but I just don't KNOW it. cheers.

Dug, Within IC by using the 'drop down selections' in the Stock Screen filter, and then clicking on submit you can get all of of the shares within each sub industry. e.g. Aluminum, Gold, Diversified Metals and Mining You can thus do extra test only for these selected sub industries. You can also add each of these into a watchlist. Unfortunately you can can't get a further breakdown into which ones are say zinc Still searching

Dug, Correct about e-cbd changing formats.Once upon a time you just had to punch in "Silver", "Lead", "zinc",or whatever into the search box and it would bring up a magic list. They still have one pre defined search ....one of your favourites....Uranium....This is how all searches came up. Just had a squiz and the "U" search doesn't seem to have been updated for quite some time. Some obvious ones are just not there and one in particular that I know about (RPT) was taken over by a Canadian company over 12 months ago so maybe this site isn't really a goer. Don't know of any other places to get the lists that you want but it would make life a lot easier if there were one or two floating around....Cheers.
