This term means Group Traders but it reminds me of World Champion Wrestling Noon Sundays just after B A Santamaria so I'm adapting it.
While ago there was a call for the REAL Traders IC who lived in various Capital Cities to go out and rent Office Space,Get in all their multi-screen Computer Set-Ups,Research Shares and Do d'Trading Game professional like as a Day Job.
Despite several putting their hand up nothing seemed to come of it.At least most of them stopped posting and the story fizzled out.
However there seems to be both anecdotal and NewsPaper Articles infrequently occuring saying such Groups are operating.
It's a Tale that "Confirms" Conspiracy is not just a Theory but you must understand that what THEY do is Not ILLEGAL.

Of course there were the "Housewife" groups that arose in the Tech Boom out in suburbia.A group of people putting in a $100/week/month to form a Pool to build a Joint Portfolio.
These did have an element of Illegality.Something about infringing Licensed Investment Advice Code but mostly pilgrims wanted to have them banned because they attracted Amway Sales diddlers and Bowkett promoters and just general Get Rich Quick get in on the ground floor of a Pyramid Chain types.
The ladies would gather to discuss shares and suddenly some shaved bodied/steroid pumped bloke would start d'Flash'n'Bob Chip'n'Dale to sell underwear for the hostess.
Geez the ladies were just there to get a handle on PumpinDumping and were distracted!!
So these Clubs were just a Fad for distressed housewives.

dug you have forgotten to mention 'Joe the Gadget man' - who always gave change back from your dollar, & Adeline Hocker (on the roller game) and the "brute" (bernard) WTW.
Investment clubs are still occurring and the closest I can think about 'Get in all their multi-screen Computer Set-Ups,Research Shares and Do d'Trading ' is some more suffisticated investment clubs in Sydney (and other cities I guess) who meet and swap ideas on trading weekly ~ some mentioned on the web: The Millionaires' Club - How to Start and Run Your Own Investment; Australian stockmarket ASX stock market trading etc
ATSIC et al try to cut websites out of the "Tag Teams" approach (for some good reason) and more importantly experience tells us the anyone following some ppls picks here on IC would soon run out of money (unless stops are instituted without delay)
and your point is?
PS I see you are ramping PHK on the BBQ recently : re the share placement they had to have....

Now where was I going?
Basically I'm surprised how the novices/youngsters/newbies think that once one knows there's Evil and Nastiness in the Share Market,particularly in Pennies one just avoids or instantly condemns ignores any Ramping that's not on your side.
Like if you Hold any criticism/critique/negative of the share is TOU Too obviously Downramping so THEY,the Deadly they,nefariously can spook d'Pilgrim,ya mum'n'dad,salt of d'earth,decent,honest Have A Go types.
ohh they spit out the term Day Trader,like the other day in another place some dill said I me d'jr should volunteer to wash bottoms at a Nursing Home in attonement for my Sins!!
The bleeding share behaved just like I said but that wasn't enough Vindication for my Soul,jaded as it,it might well be.
Anyhow,I'm going to continue this thread periodically to Expose/Remark on the Phenomenona of Ramping.
Up Ramping has developed into a Fine Art Form.The past has passed.Ramping is now much more refined.Chat Sites are no longer the preserve of galloots with past glories to justify themselves.Chat Sites are where the Action really IS.Live2Air Reading of the Market Sentiment by the Actual Participants.
Not here,of course,...yet.
I'm talking the NEW AGE but I'll explain more....

I reckon it would be a great thesis, the effect of the chat rooms on the market. nearly impossible to quantify I suspect, but not impossible. the ease of multi nicking, complicates matters but I reckon if places like, the warm pig as you so quaintly put it, had tougher registration procedures this could to a degree be alleviated, then again, if newspaper articles are to be believed cold steel thrives and runs only because its owners are part of the conspiracy

when I got taught/trained as an Assessor,a tax assessor etc They said to always remember the TaxPayer is Basically Honest and don't go twisting yourself into knots about the wool being pulled over your eyes etc.One assessed a tax return one every 30secondsish so there was no time to get interested at least by the other assessors.I still did my "best" and got labelled Nutter chiefly by d'Boys in the Footy Team.Ohh catlady I got a real history of annoying Rugger Buggers but I won't go on.

Me as a young wippersnapper also got to be Chief Write Off Officier for Queensland.That was being in charge of submitting WHO we [d'Tax Office] should let off the hook of Debt.
Subsequently,well I went thru a few 2/3 years of being just chiefly Written Off and I didn't get No Pension.Bloody Fraser!!so I went on Leave,indefinite unpaid.
