Hi, I searched the forum prior to posting but was unable to find an answer to my question. I'm slightly confused with trendlines because some examples seem like Stan is drawing trendlines just to fit an argument about when to buy/sell a stock. Please allow me to point you to page 52 and 53 as an example of what I'm talking about. If you look at chart 2-15 on page 53 you'll notice that his trendline for support is on an angle. However, if you look at chart 2-14 on page 52 you'll notice that he uses a horizontal line signaling support. I'm perplexed as to why he didn't use an angled trendline like he did on chart 2-15 when it can be argued that they have a similar stage 2 pattern. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance! :-)

Traderron, Beleve it, or not ! Evil was - and is - giving you ever to solve, ONLY problems without REAL SOLUTIONS, ONLY TOO COMPLEX PROBLEMS (in mathematics the field=space=universe for the existence and manifestation of such HOLOGRAMS=ILLUSIONS is noted=symbolised with the roman letter "i" coming from the word "I_MAGI(C)_NARY", or better said " I_LLUSION". Only INFORMATIONAL BALLAST that once solved, THE TIME YOU HAVE (never) HAD FOR APPLYING "THE SOLUTIONS" EXPIRES, AND YOU HAVE TO TURN BACK AT THE SAME "WORK=JOB". Even for your whole life, theoretically INFINITE ! This is the reason for, why it gives: 1) AN OPERATIONAL FREEMASONRY=TRULY ARCH_ITECTS OF REAL=TRUE THINGS, like the PYRAMIDS or the ACROPOLIS are; 2) and A SPECULATIVE FREEMASONRY=SORCERERS that are creating ONLY HOLOGRAMS=ILLUSIONS=UN_TOUCH_ABLE - THEREFORE "IN_VINCIBLE" - THINGS=MATTERS, LIKE THE NOWADAYS "FREE MARKETS" ARE ! Ron First piece of advice is conserve your energy by not replying to the weirdo Stoian. To answer your question, I wouldn't get too hung up on he slope of the support line. The point is that both examples show a change from uprend to downtrend. Teleprompter just changes from St2 to St4 a lot quicker than Avon. The message is still the same - stay on board as long as Stage 2 is intact. Cheers Sway (Message edited by sway on June 19, 2008) (Message edited by sway on June 19, 2008)

Captain_Chaza, Weird or not, it seems my forecasts were good enough to irritate sATanists and AT-ists=like i am calling all the Analytical Technicists. I am ever=usually telling you - BEFORE AND NOT AFTER - what i have (w)on ! But most of the people, like to follow the herd (of devils, and not the group of a few angels). So, let me hear your interest ! Regards, Doru Stoian

Thanks for the comments everyone. sway: Is it not true that we should buy/sell based on the trendline so we know if we're entering S1, S2, etc? My concern (a serious one mind you) is that I feel I need to understand trendlines to a science, especially when money is involved and when I see Mr. Weinstein draw lines that go against what he defines a trendline to be, that concerns me.

traderon True, there is a subjective element which relies on a certain degree of judgement. I guess that is why Weinstein also brings in the weight-of-evidence approach in the second half of the book. Cheers Sway
