I heard of a trader who trades solely for dividends, he would not let it known how he this was done. Does anyone trade for dividends only, maybe buy before company goes ex div then sell out. I have noticed a few blue chips go up leading in, then drop on the ex div day. Anyway.. just thought i would throw that out there Thanks

Pennywise, I have a separate trading capital where I trade just to get the franking credit for the dividends. Of course I still go by the charts whether to enter or not and only use shares in the ASX150. But I must say that there are always exceptions to the rule. Mostly they drop after the ex date, but then pick up again. A bit dicey in today's market though.
