Certainly is a roller coaster ride on the short term charts. Comfortable @ 8pm last night, went away for 'quality' time . Lost all gains plus some by 11pm ...however resisted selling, cursing myself that I didn't raise stop when they were high (blamed the distraction in the house - visitors!) ...then the only smart thing I did was stuck to my original plan that if I got stopped out then that was taken into account in my trading plan/money management. Woke up this morning to find all my FX trades had clawed back to about 80% of where I was at 8pm the night before . ...raising my stop losses now. cheers, wadda

Well done Lafee and Wadda. being patient and sticking to your original plan is often very rewarding. Will you guys be looking to go long dollars for tonight? or going to sit on the sidelines..? Cheers Stocky.

Just selling some more Eur/Usd up at these levels. A Fair bit of resistance around this 1.32 level, looking for it to range down to around the 1.30 initially. Cheers, Stocky.

It's meant to be bearish but as it is a largely unprovable pattern - I don't personally take any notice of it. Cheers Lafee

I'm seeing that the best shorting potential is on the GBPJPY. Have to wait for it to breakdown, then come back up. But looks the most likely scalp tonight. Cheers Lafee

Lafee, Gartman is selling gold at the moment. http://yahoo.reuters.com/news/articlehybrid.aspx?storyID=urn:newsml:reuters.com: 20070312:MTFH96812_2007-03-12_15-15-28_N12397543&type=comktNews&rpc=44 Last week there was also talk of gold being sold to cover the carry trades that went wrong. There is a possibility that there might be a repetition when the rest of the carry trades unwind. Personally, I have no idea, but wish I did! Regards Kate

Most of last night's currency moves were due to JPY buying, so i think we'll see the markets re-adjust and should see a rise in the USD tonight. Retail sales weren't as good as expected, but they weren't all that bad. This should also be supported by the anticipated drop in Oil which also dragged Gold down. If the GBP/USD breaks that big support level around where it is now, could see a 80-100pt drop when europe wakes up. I'm going to take a short stop entry around 1.9250, try to pick up 60 pts. Still Short EUR/USD aswell. Cheers, Stocky

Might be worth selling value on the GBPJPY, USDJPY and buying value on the EURNZD today. Are we back to the situation we were in a week ago? Lafee
