Everything is pretty quiet atm. AUDJPY shows some promise on the upside but momentum still is not strong enough. Looks like I get to go to bed tonight. I should have stayed with my GBPJPY long. Missed out on about 35 pips as a result. Cheers Lafee.

I wonder if the AUDUSD is looking at 80c again. I hope so . EURUSD is leading the way this afternoon. It did hold up the best when the USDJPY when into free fall a couple of weeks back. Now it is managing gains as the USDJPY is falling back again. Cheers Lafee ps. it's starting to get lonely here. (Message edited by lafee on March 16, 2007)

Hi Lafee et al, back from my real job. My quick scan comes up with most versus the JPY. In particular the EURJPY,GBPJPY and NZDJPY. This is based on a two day chart, I'm yet to look at them closer for a go for anything this afternoon/evening. The GBPUSD looked ok for a long as well, as it seemed to lag the gains already made by other currencies against the USD (eg AUD). Having a closer look over the next half hour. Cheers, wadda

Wadda, Keep an eye on the EUR crosses as well tonight. Its strange for the EUR to move so much in Auzzie hours. Can be an indicative of large moves to come tonight. Cheers Lafee

Copied Lafee, just when long GBPJPY @ 226.86 hoping it has found some short term support (though as I type that might be a folly). If you're right it might make the EURJPY more attractive. Cheers, wadda PS Are you getting annoying long spikes on some time frames (eg daily, 4hrly) basically ruining any chance of a good chart? I have been getting them lately with both IG and City Index.

The IG charts are pretty bad in that regard. The best free forex charting program I have seen is Metatrader. Do a google search for it, I think you might like it. It is also programable which is a major bonus. The programing language is a bit difficult to master but hey its free. Cheers Lafee

Wadda, I think the majors might be the best plays tonight especially EURUSD on a pull back. It is rare that the EURUSD leads momentum but it has done so far today. I would like to see it move a little higher then pull back sharply for a long scalp. Keep in mind though that of all the days of the week, Friday is the most likely for trend reversal. Especially on the US open. Cheers Lafee (Message edited by lafee on March 16, 2007)

Thanks Lafee... Got onto Metatrader and am installing it as I type! As mentioned above I've already gone long GBPJPY - it's going sideways ATM. In addition to the EURUSD, I'm also watching the EURJPY and GBPUSD. Good hunting, wadda

Colin, Has Captain been banned from posting? If so I think it is a rather silly decision. He is, in my view, the best small cap poster on this forum. Lafee believes censorship is the greater crime Cheers Lafee (Message edited by lafee on March 16, 2007)

Wadda, Forget the EURJPY. It is not in play. JPY is strengthing almost as much as the EUR. They are correlated ATM which means the EURJPY will be stable. Lafee

Alright, thanks for the tip...at the moment I'm just struggling to get accurate, uncorrupted data. It seems the EURUSD has blasted off (when I looked 30mins ago when my PC was stable!) I've tried the metatrader download from two sites now and both of them won't give me accurate data without opening an account - hardly free. Any advice? wadda

If I remember correctly you 'open an account' but do not have to put any money in it. Cheers Lafee
