Hello Lafee, just got home from the real job and I thought I would join you this time and just went long EURUSD @ 1.3332. I notice it hasn't moved much for you during the day but am hoping as they wake up on the other side of the world the activity will increase. Cheers, wadda

wadda, The breakout from the USDJPY range is important. Watch how the EURUSD reacts (dosn't matter the direction) when it does. The eyes are on the yen. Cheers Lafee

Hi Lafee, mine was a very short trade with the EURUSD - stopped out at 1.3309. Perhaps I set the stop too close - but unfortunately I'm not in a position to screen watch so for safety had to set a stop. Such is life. Watching the ranging USDJPY. Cheers, wadda

Closed out of GBPJPY @ 231.06 after a week (in @ 228.15). Could have been a bit more disciplined and got out a bit earlier (@ 231.40ish) but there you go. wadda

Surely we can't have another day of this? Maybe some yen scalps tonight - after the breakout? Cheers Lafee

Evening all, Went long USDCHF @ 1.2210. Finally had time to have a read of your FX news summaries thanks Ivan - thought the USDCHF looked the best. Also watching GBPCHF long, but waiting for a retracement to around 2.389...seems to a bit on the boil at the moment. Cheers, wadda

Wadda - I feel annoyed that the conflicting information coming out of the USA is so deceptive - this is now the norm. Yesterday we had the great news that housing was in recovery, and the sub-prime debacle was not such a disaster. Today we have the figures that show new home sales at 16 year low, and the USD promptly gave up 86 pips. Unfortunately it may have gone against your USDCHF as well - the move was across the board as far as I can tell, sending the AUD soaring to 81.07! http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20602081&sid=acyMEAdP74EA&refer=benchmark _currency_rates I think I will become a screen jockey and just trade the action as it happens - stuff the news! Unfortunately here in my day job (read: night job) I saw the move but was unable to do anything about it. Some people are too busy earning a living to make any money! I did not know at the time it was the shock housing figures that blew away the market, but who cares - the move was on - quite spectacular to watch - 86 pips in about 90 minutes!
