What is the best way for me to short the USD? I know with shares you can buy a put option, if you think it will drop. If I bought a put option on the USD, but it was denominated in USD, it would be useless to an Australian. The value of the option drops (in AUD) when the currency drops. Can you buy a call option on the AU Dollar (in AUD) vs US Dollar? Do you guys have any ideas???? It is US based and I use it. I find it great. You can take a position of $1.00 if you like. Great to learn and the brokerage is a % of the trade. Also the US FED has shown they are weak and won't raise US interest rates. On the other hand there's a reasonable chance the RBA will raise rates here. Another reason the USD will drop....
