Hi Rob, Only the LONE RANGER will help MMN. What a dog of a stock. Keeping praying cause one day they may be answered and we'll see MMN heading north. I gave up on MMN six months ago but then I haven't got your patience and optimism. I'm making money on winners like SOL and RKN. Keep the junk under $.50 for the dreamers. Eugenio

Eugenio The tide has not turned, but precious metals are very comfortable at present levels. It is widely rumoured that Middle East countries are buying large amounts of physical gold while their black gold is so sweetly priced, to put it crudely. So silver should get a fillip from gold near term. Technically both metals have lots of room on the upside, so if the greenback continues to falter, ever so slightly, gold and silver will move up another notch. We probably need gold to tick over $415 and trigger buy stops to kick POG higher, faster. But while the trend upwards remains intact, there are few reasons to sell. All the best with SOL and RKN

archer Yesterday posted off a cheque to Macmin for the shares offered at 14cents via the rights issue. As the issue offered an opportunity to buy extra shares - with attaching options at 25cents down the track - I went double or nothing! bandicoot Hang onto MMNOA a bit longer if your nerves can tough it out. The greenback was too cosy for too long. G7 talks could give metals a huge fillip over the next week. In any case, the likelihood of silver taking out its early year highs - another $2 rise in silver is needed - is very much on the cards now. In tandem, MMN should retrace to 20cents quite quickly with a break over previous high of 26cents occurring with sharp price spikes of silver - probably into early 2005. As my daughter keeps saying, "it's all good".

Some action in the price silver during the night in US. At about 10:20 US EST the price went for a vertical lift off. A glance at the POS chart should put a smile on silver holders. Be it the physical silver holding ‘on the vault floor’ at Perth Mint and/or holdings of silver shares like MMN. On The Street SSRI is doing nicely. Both the MMN announcement yesterday and the POS o’nite could see some price/volume action in MMN today Friday.

GOLD WILL RISE, BUT SILVER MAY SKYROCKET September 27, 2004 - texashedge.com We think that silver is a once in a lifetime opportunity to participate in the meteoric rise of a dramatically undervalued commodity. The real story on silver is the massive inventory depletion that has taken place over the last decade as depicted in the graph below. Since 1991, the above ground silver supply has declined from about 1.4 billion ounces to an estimated 600 million ounces (130 million of which legendary investor Warren Buffett may or may not still own from his 1998 purchase). Silver deficits now run between 50-100 million ounces per annum. 130 million ounces and possibly much more of the roughly 500-600 million above ground ounces are owned by investors like Buffett, who have no intention to sell anytime soon. In all likelihood, less than 350 million ounces are available to fill supply deficits at anywhere near current prices. We are running at critically low silver reserves and it is entirely possible that some time in the next few years that silver shortages may occur. More………. Well worth a read http://www.kitco.com/ind/Texashedge/sept272004.html

Bolnisi Gold (BSG) is worth looking at for a silver play. They have 44 million oz's in Mexico + 336,00 oz's gold @ 1 million oz AU equivalent. and are looking to significantly increase this resource estimate with recent drilling. Chart looks good + checkout recent fatprophet report on their website Cheers Megagem Do your own research - I am not a financial advisor

Megagem Just read BSG's annual report. It's true that their best is yet to come (my view is that the longer silver stays in the ground, the better for the company's bottom line), and finds to date are spectacular. As with most exploration, until the reserves are "proven" the stock shares can relapse again until mining is well underway. However BSG has a few sites on the go and with regular announcements there is always the chance the stock price just keeps heading north.

Rederob, Re-BSG - The company has recently sold its 50% interest in the Roseby downs copper project to URL . BSG share holders will receive 379 URL shares for every 1000 BSG shares. The option strike price which expires 31/12/04 has been reduced from .40 cts to 34.3 cents. The option is now in the money and a nice source of funding for development of its high grade gold/silver mines. The deal awaits shareholder approval at a meeting in 4-5 weeks.Demand for the shares and option should remain strong. Cheers Vermante Note - I own BSG options

Hi vermante Agree that demand will be strong. I don't own any BSG but those buying a year ago under 20cents will now be pleased. I am, as you probably have worked, a believer in the strength of precious metals and would not shy away from a good equity. If buying into BSG, tho, I think it prudent to hold back a little as retraces to 35cents and possibly a touch lower typically occur. Nevertheless, if the Palmarejo Gold Silver Project in Mexico lives up to expectations then BSG's present price could be very cheap. My view on silver's price is that we are a long, long way from its top, but that also means a good few years away for those with the patience to wait. Depletion of silver inventories will continue to drive POS up, particularly as industrial demand is presently very strong. All the best with your BSG options.
