Hi all, thought i'd start a new thread in case anyone interested? from a low of 0.70ish in late march the AUD/USD ran almost 800 pts (breaking through a distinct falling channel on the weekly) before pulling back a few weeks ago for what seems like a swift, yet steep correction. There is strong support below on both the daily and weekly charts with support at previous swing highs and also previous falling channel on the weekly. dead cat bounce in the USD index has been only partially to blame with corrections in commodities adding to the recent selloff in the Aussie. USD could maybe bounce a tad higher but further strength in commodities will provide more buying support to the AUD. almost buying territory for AUD bulls or USD bears? indicators look good on the weekly .. MACD looks a bit shabby on the daily but rsi pointing higher .. probably get long on a break of 0.76ish on the hourly chart? Spot AUD/USD - weekly chart:
Spot AUD/USD - daily chart:
Spot AUD/USD - hourly chart:
comments appreciated .. cheers .. Tom

I'm looking for a bounce off around 75.80 - the daily pivot. Or even as low as 75.60 if the reversal looks right. Otherwise, I agree with your assessment Thommo. There may not be a pullback from here. (at this time) Cheers, .Ice (Message edited by justice on May 26, 2006)

AUD/USD in it's current position is looking like a good risk/reward trade. I would be inclined to buy smalls now as we're seeing signs of USD weakness in some of the other crosses. The USD/JPY has had 3 attempts at the 113 level and can't break it. And possibly top up if it drops to the lower trendline with a stop just below.

US Memorial Day holiday Monday. No economic news - no share trading. Good chance not much resistance from the US FX traders in the Asian/Eur sessions. It would seems like a good time to wollup the USD - soon.
