I was talking to the good Captain a few nights ago about the AUDUSD/GOLD relationship. Captain's position was that the AUDUSD PRICE LEADS THE GOLD PRICE. I believed the opposite had been occurring of late. We agreed to open the discussion on the forum to help determine the answer. I have always believed that these kind of relationships are never static. Even so, I believe one can "momentum trade" a relationship until it stops working. With some luck the relationship will continue long enough to make some decent profits - enough to cover the inevitable drawdown when the relationship crashes. So, what do others think of the AUDUSD Gold Relationship. Does one lead the other? How would one test to determine if the relationship does indeed exist or not? Cheers Laffee

If you can think in the inverse this shall suffice.
