Have just began trading US stocks using IG Markets CFDs. Starbucks was mentioned by a tipster last week but the direction he indicated was south. My chart tells me that SBUX is heading north. It has just closed one gap and I expect it to close the second one. Now $32.44, target $37.06. Possible forming H & S target $34.40.
Also moving up are Dell and Intel.

Hi Hershy. Hope you are paying the extra for the GSLO. The US stocks can make quite large moves at any time. A little capital protection is always prudent. I find it odd that you consider this stock to be rising when your major MA's are going down. If you are not using them, delete them from your chart. Do you have any evidence that the existing down trend is weakening? Has this down trend actually stopped and reversed. What is your definition of a change in trend? If your trading setup is based on the last two weeks of data, then get rid of the rest of the chart. You needn't reply. I am hoping to get you thinking about your trading plan. Good luck with this endeavour.

Hi Pete, Thanks for your advice. SBUX has posted 3 higher highs and higher lows and has closed a gap. That puts it into an uptrend. If I posted a chart of 2 or 3 candles, those looking at it would not get the overall picture. Which in this case is a possible bullish pattern and a closed gap. I have not trading Starbucks, just posted as it was supposed to go down - according to some selfstyled "guru". Have traded Dell down and Intel up, both for just one night . Made some small change on the deal. No, I don't use GSLs but I know what you mean. If you trade the US markets have a look at China Life Insurance and China Mobile Ads.

First gap is now close and I believe Sbux has run out of steam and is now heading down.

A shot of caffeine sees SBUX taking off again with a 5.15% bullish day. A move to $37.45 to close the gap is almost guaranteed. Go figure !

Hershy, don't you just love this business. As soon as you feel like you know what is going to happen. The market reminds you that it is in charge. Now you think that SBUX is "guaranteed" to get to your target. The market is playing with you, when you should be playing with it.

Well done Hershy. Your "almost guaranteed" move happened the next day! Wonder if that "tipster" you referred to has exited his short position?

Hey Pete. Thanks. The tipster is an American guy named Martin Weiss, a purveyor of doom and gloom and Chinese stocks. All he sees in the US is bad news and upcoming recessions. He advocates cash and EFTS, or Equity trusts that hold Chinese and Indian stocks. Occasionally he has a good idea but he is VERY depressing.

SBUX looks like closing another window. Another "almost guarantee" but this time it's on the way down. There may be close to $2 in this move.

Would somebody close that window, please ! And while you're at it, could you form a flag and then go to target at $42 ?
