I saw the month-long consolidation. It looked sweet just above the MAs. I bought at the open at $15.16. Nice volume at the end of the day without any news release.

The stock market is a funny thing. Unless you are a pro, you can experience a level of relaxation or wild emotional ride depending on where you bought. A key to success may be to ignore where one bought a stock and concentrate on where it's going and how it will get there. EVST has been bouncing like a yo-yo. Luckily my price point has been below the action so I have felt little pressure. Sometimes there is such in-action that the spread is 5%.

You got to love the stock market. The principles work and they work in various timeframes simultaneously.
The following daily chart shows the carnage that took place between Dec 20 (inclusive) and Jan 5 (inclusive).
What looks horrible in the daily chart looks like half a bowl of goodness in the minute chart. I wish IC would allow us a tick-view or minute chart for the last 20 trading days.
If you look at the situation how it traded on Friday afternoon you could put a buy stop limit $16.53 with a stop loss at $16.36.

Hey OHK,
Slightly off topic but since we're talking carnage thought I'd bring it up.
I have a watchlist of mostly Chinese stocks traded in the US plus one Japanese stock and 3 US companies that do a lot of business in or with China.
Without exception, every one of these stocks, including China Life had a negative day Friday especially China Life which dropped 9% but I am addressing this in the LFC thread.
The Nikkei was down 1.5%, Shanghai down 2.74%.
Is this an opportunity to look for dips or is there something that caused this ?
I don't have a plan so nothing can go wrong !!!

I don't know. I don't see sense in paying attention to anything except what I own. Why should I care how the index is coming along if I am holding some penny stock? If every stock behaved like the index then we would not get retracements but only crashes when the index goes down. This means there are always stocks rising at any moment in time no matter what some index is doing.
While we are off-topic..
While this selling went on NVTL just broke out of 'a double bottom with inclusive MACD divergence with H&S follow-on'. What other buy signal was I waiting for? I didn't have the guts to put my money down. I wasted my time on three shitty plays because I didn't want to play the two percent play against the doji on Dec 27. I feel like an idiot. Nothing has changed: good analyst, shitty trader.
