Wall St Restart its inflation this week with the largest figures on production and consumer prices set for issue. Stock investor may start making a holiday this week when some major US retailers will report their quarterly result and discuss the outlook for Christmas sales. Analyst says that there is a reason to be optimistic about the coming holiday shopping “The fall in gas prices has psychologically been better for the people and the unemployment rate is very low, so there are people out there who can spend. For the past week, the Dow Jones industrial average rose 1.02 %, while the S&P 500 gained 1.22 %. The NASDAQ gave its best performance in two months, with a weekly gain of 2.53%. For the year, the Dow is up 13 %, while the S&P 500 is up 10.6 %, and the NASDAQ is up 8.4%. Fred Dickson, director of retail research at D.A. Davidson & Co., said he believes the October readings on the U.S. Producer Price Index and the Consumer Price Index will be fairly gentle.
