Hi guys; Just wondering if anyone has every purchased the InTeLyzeŽ Interactive Technical Analysis Course. I have been considering either that or the SIA Tech Analysis course, but the SIA one is a little too expensive at this time. I know IC is fantastic in it's available education but am looking for something that really teaches the understanding of tech analysis and it's uses. Look forward to your comments. Davkell, I have had no experience with any courses, but I am wondering if the Australian Technical Analysts Association could be worth a visit for you? Google search will find them. Alternatively, you could ask someone to act as a mentor, (less likely to find someone who is not already very busy, but they are out there). Mentoring is a very demanding system to learn under - more demanding than courses, I would think, as a good mentor might hold you very much more accountable for your decisions.
If you don't have it, maybe someone else does - never be afraid to ask

Thanks Ingot. Yep, have been to ATAA, they link you to the SIA course, it's a joint venture. Just under $1000 though, and pretty full-on for what I can tell, probably better when you've traded a while. Also good because it's certificate course. Would love to have a mentor, but how do you find them? And being able to utilise one with the need to fit in with their lifestyle, and my own....family...shiftwork....the list is endless! Am going to joining ATAA though, so might find one through that medium. Thanks for your response.

Davkell, I am doing the SIA course at the moment. It seems to me like an amalgamation of everything i've already read on the subject from trading books. It does cover a lot of information and the workload could be hefty for a full-time worker. The good thing is that you are made to practice what you learn though topic exercises and assignments. The lectures are also a good way to discuss technical analysis and you might find your opinions differ from the lecturer's. Just be aware that the SIA course is purely tech analysis and not a trading course. If you want more information you can visit the SIA building and check out the subject notes.

Thanks for your comments Curtains. I've just become a member of the ATAA, so might just get what I can from there meetings and video library. Might do the SIA course at a later date when I can justify the cost and have the time to focus on it. Have a trade plan in place now and want to keep it simple without clouding my judgement with all manner of technicals. Hope you enjoy the course.

I noticed recently on the trading-secrets website run by Chris Tate and Louise Bedford that they run a mentoring program. Cost is $5000, so it could take a few goods wins first to pay for it. chart rider
