I am not a computer genius on these things however I thought I would contact you to see if there is anything to it. I could be just plain wrong also. It is quite easy to send an email and to impersonate a specific sender - which I suspect is the case here. As a general rule, never open any email attachments, especially those that are supposedly patches for a virus. I would suggest you look at getting a decent Antivirus package like Norton, which also scans your incoming emails. It's free and I get daily software updates ... no charge, automatically downloaded after a request It scans my computer for viruses daily It also alerts me to e-mail viruses and "cleans" or quarantines them But as with many other things I don't know the first thing about them A friend recommended them ... and they seem OK You usually get the quality you pay for but there are bargains around Is this one? The updates are speedy.
