Having some problems with the computer in general and unable to log in to IC. Cleared temp internet files may have deleted some files associated with log in ID. On attempting to log on says to forward debug file to tech@ .... but on clicking on "help" brings up error. Am I able to download IC and try again? Any suggestions gratefully accepted cheers $

Dollars, Please start with the Connection Checklist. If that fails to solve the problem, send us your Debug Files. Regards Colin

Hello Dollars, Clearing your Temporary Internet Folder will not affect IncredibleCharts. As a start please attempt a manual update to the latest version: http://www.incrediblecharts.com/online_charts/manual_update.htm Thanks, Robin

Too many responses can be confusing. OK. Start with the manual update, then do the Connection Checklist. If that fails, send us the debug files. Regards Colin

Gohard Try the following: 1. Restart IC 2. If that doesn't solve the problem, restart your computer, before opening IC. 3. If there is still a problem, download the latest test version and save over incrediblecharts.exe Regards Colin

Gohard It appears from the first image that your executable is incorrectly named as Incrediblecharts.exe.exe. This must have happened when you saved the test version. It will confuse the Updater. 1. Go to My Computer and on the top menu select Tools >> Folder Options >> View and clear the check box for Hide extensions for known file types. 2. Then go to C:\Program Files\Incredible Charts and check the names of the executables (with .exe extensions). 3. If there are two Incrediblecharts.exe files, one ending with ".exe.exe" then delete that one. 4. If there is only one file, named Incrediblecharts.exe.exe, then right-click to rename it and rename as Incrediblecharts.exe. Regards Colin

Morning Colin, Confirming your instruction I discovered that the file was named with two exe's previous to this latest change I had been updating with the test versions what would change the file name by doing it this way. Yesterday when I loaded manually it accepted the update but gave that second error is there some conflict with the software I have not changed the file names to my knowledge Thanks for the support Cheers G

Gohard Because known extensions were not displayed, you may have added the ".exe" not realizing that there was already a hidden extension. Just make sure that there is only one executable file (with .exe extension) in your Incredible Charts folder (besides Uninstall.exe). If you get the error below, locate the file and delete it. Then restart IC.
Regards Colin
