Colin / Robin I agree with Stickman. The ability to left click for the crosshairs was great. The new new version does not allow the drawing of trend lines and the use of the crosshairs to be as user friendly. Hard to see why the change was made. Love everything else but perhaps this one warrants reconsidering. Regards....Macka...

Macka, The old crosshairs interfered with the zoom function. If I understand correctly, what you miss is ability to display/hide the crosshairs with a single click. If so, we can investigate whether this is still achievable. Regards Colin

G'day Robin After being away for over a week I was happy to see the update to the new version when I opened IC on Sunday morning. Thanks for your continuing improvements. I operate a dual screen setup using XP home without SP2. Initially I could not retain the crosshairs but no problems today except that they have appeared as a "ghost" on some web pages that I have had opened at the same time on my main monitor where I have IC. No problems drawing or changing trendlines or support/resistance lines. I like the fact that the crosshairs are there while IC is the active app. Previously when "zoom" was active I would often gain a further zoom which I didn't want (forgetting to hold ALT) instead of the activation of the crosshairs. This caused me continuing frustration. This sometimes occurred also when trying to extend a trendline or support/resistance line if I didn't have "hold" of the end of the line. Now I have the additional visual reminder, the disappearance of the crosshairs, that shows that I have hold of the end of the line before I extend it. The crosshairs are a tool I use more frequently than drawing lines or zooming so I appreciate that I don't have to use any click to initiate them. regards macca888

G'day Colin I've noticed that if I make the application on my second screen the active app then I very easily get rid of the crosshairs but I'm still able to read the OHLCV for each day if I pass the cursor over the IC chart on my primary screen. Can't draw or change lines of course in this case. If I left click when IC is the active app the crosshairs disappear. I prefer the new setup for crosshairs. Hope this helps. regards macca888

Hi Colin/Robin, I'm having a problem with the new crosshairs. On entering IC, I press the crosshairs icon and it comes on. Great. However, after I've been using the system for a while the crosshairs go off. If I depress then repress the crosshairs icon they will come back on. However, after a further period of usage, the crosshairs disappear altogether and don't come back (unless I close out of IC then start up again). I'm using a Laptop with Win XP. Am I overlooking some fundamental setting? I enjoy using the new system, so I hope you can recommend a solution to me. Thanks, como

Hi Stickman, Keep in mind that when you have more than one application open, the crosshairs will not display if IncredibleCharts is not the active application. If an error is occurring: Next time that this problem occurs, please check the "debug" subfolder of your IncredibleCharts folder for any text files that start with the abbreviated month eg. Nov24[random].txt since these files contain errors and may provide a clue as to what is going wrong. if there is a shortcoming in the code: Maybe your actions in using the crosshairs are exposing a flaw - in which case you may be able to work out how to reproduce the crosshair initially disappearing. We'd definitely appreciate any feedback in this regard. Thanks, Robin
