It could be quite useful for short-term trading and making trailing stops an ease to "calculate" (trail one tick behind the previous day hi/lo depending on your direction).

Even if you didn't implement the candlestick itself one could calculate the values and then choose to plot the trailing stop on the chart similar to the parabolic SAR.
