Colin, while I appreciate how much work is involved in creating such a wonderful site as IC, for me, the lack of a fully functional text box has been a major frustration right from the beginning. These days a fully functional text box is taken for granted as a basic tool in so many applications,I don't understand what the problem is, or why it has been on the to-do list for over 2 years? MS Word, and Excel and many other charting sites provide a fully functional text box that can be placed anywhere on the chart and moved and resized at will, with fonts that can be resized and recoloured at will, and with arrows that can point in any direction and can be attached at any point on the perimeter of the text box, and refresh along with all the other data every time the page is reopened. Why can't IC provide what seems to be a very basic tool in so many other packages? In case you are not familiar with stockchart.com , can I suggest that you take a look at it. I consider it to be the benchmark for charting sites and it's FREE. for example, check out all the drawing and notation tools once you hit the annotate button under the chart. keep up the good work alexr (Message edited by colin_twiggs on August 06, 2007)

I too made the same suggestion about 2 years ago - nothing happening. As a result we are seeing some really silly 'things' on some charts.
As the Irishman said, 'Anyone who's not confused here doesn't really understand what's going on'.

Alex & Zorba, Text boxes are planned as part of the current drawing tools upgrade. We still have to complete Fibonacci tools and Angled (% Gain) Trendlines before we start on captions, arrows and text boxes. Thank you for your patience. Regards, Colin
