Colin I would like the option to manually scale the Y (vertical) axis of any chart. For example, consider a daily volume chart. The current problem is that one extreme peak causes all of the visible detail at lower volumes to be lost. Volume spikes are very common. I would be happier to manually set a scale where I'd be able to see what's going on and have a few peaks go off scale. Thanks Sway

Great suggestion Sway. I will put my support behind your request too. This would be a very useful addition to this incredible package. Kind regards Ingot

Ingot, we missed the 1 year birthday of this request. Is there any action proposed Colin? Cheers Sway

Sway, The Price and Time scales do allow manual adjustment of x and y axes on the price chart. Are you referring to the Volume chart? Regards, Colin

Colin Yes, the example I gave in my original post of 10th Feb 2008 referred to a volume chart. The option to adjust any scale manually would be ideal. The % adjustment function is not ideal. Regards Sway (Message edited by sway on March 09, 2009)

It may prove difficult for us to manually scale the indicator slots, but we will investigate this. Alternatives may be:
- Plot volume in the background of the price chart;
- Plot volume using a log scale;
- Use a Volume Oscillator (e.g. 63 and 3 Days) to identify volume changes.
Regards, Colin

Further to my comment above, another limitation of the so called "manual scaling" is that the selection applies to ALL projects. This is inappropriate when projects have different time scales. To display the data on a 3 month chart can require completely different Y-axis scaling to a 10 year chart. This is another reason why true manual scaling should be an option, specific to each project. Regards Sway
