Is there a way to display a trailing ATR stop loss similar to the metastock formula (formula from meta-formula.com):

For Long:
HHV(H - 2.5*ATR(5),10)

For Short:
LLV(L + 2.5*ATR(5),10)

using the main stock screen (as opposed to a separate screen)

I have been pleading for this over the centuries

Why the LHS "y" axis can't be used for ATR and /or %charts is beyond my comprehension

You make a Good Point!
But it has been made many times before over the centuries!

PS Admiral Col'n
I, like most pay for the IC Charting Package
Not the Chat Forum and all that entails

My advice would be to keep your eyes on the Ball and
ie: Concentrate on the Charting Package

PPS: The Freeby/open Chat-Forum has had its day IMHO but I wouldn't worry too much about it as Free Services to anyone is not worth thinking about if it is subsidised by the Well-Paying Technical Chartists

I don't believe the forum has had its day.

I think the reduced amount of posts is due to less traders prospering in these conditions.

So if the conditions don't change, then the traders will, and we will see new traders coming in to post their two cents worth. Hopefully I can stick around to see it happen.

The forum is great, the software is great.

This is a suggestion box, not a demands box grumble guts...

Ps. Was there talk of a "posts per day" indicator? I might have a little search.

This has been on our To Do list for far too long! I will see what I can do to get this done.

Regards, Colin

p.s. The forum is quiet but that is to be expected in the current market.

Ahoy Admiral Col'n

Since the purpose design of the ADR is to be used as a Stop-Loss instrument maybe you could study Wilder's SAR approach and have it plotted as a dot chart on the Main chart as the SAR

EG; Price minus 2 times the ADR as a default

Better still as not all sails have the same Volatility maybe you can incorporate a Variable
Minus 1.5 times ADR
Minus 2.0
Minus 2.5
Minus 3.0

and then see how she goes

Salute and Gods' speed

PS:
IMHO It is best to upgrade the IC package whilst the Forum is quiet
The Quiet before a Storm or a Spring Gale doesn't always last long
