Is it possible to 'search filter' for a relative 'comparison' of individual stocks 'price' against a selected Index(s) AXO or S&P etc?
If not directly how about indirectly through other indicators.
Thanks.

I gather you are looking for a Weinstein Relative Strength filter? To my knowledge, there is no way to directly filter by price ratio in IC. As a workaround, you could note down the Rate of Change of the XAO over the periods you are interested in (say 30mths, 12mths and 3mths). Then run a series of "Rate of Change greater than..." filters. This will at least give you stocks which are positive RS.

There is a Weinstein thread somewhere with other filter parameters. Hopefully some other posters will have some more ideas.

Cheers
Sway

This is not a recommendation or advice. As they say .... DYOR.

spdfgh,

If you are looking for relative performance of stocks in an index:
  1. Start a new screen;
  2. Select the index (e.g. ASX 200);
  3. Sort by %Price Move (either 3M, 1Y or 3Y depending on your time frame;
  4. Run Screen

Stocks are returned in order of performance over the selected time period.
Regards, Colin
