Search by Code and select from items returned. F3 pops up the Search By Code Dialogue then the ARROW KEYS can be used to highlight the appropriate stock when more than one code is returned, but the ENTER key does not activate the selected security. I have to double click on the security with the mouse. Is there a shortcut for this? regards Shawky

Shawky That's a good idea. I will see if we can include it in the next update. Thanks Colin

Shawky, We've implemented your suggestion on both the Search Return and the Stock Screen Return. In effect the ENTER key now performs the same action as the F6 key - the ENTER key is more appropriate - we can always reallocate the F6 key later if need be. Robin

Great, thanks Robin I didn't even realise that F6 actually did the job, just tried it, d'oh. The ENTER key is a better choice though. kind regards Shawky

Hi Colin, Could you include a keyboard shortcut for swapping from a daily chart to a weekly chart and back again. I have to do a fair bit of mouse scrolling when going through a watchlist that has a few stocks in it to see what the weekly and daily's are doing for each stock. Thanks

Good idea tbreak May I suggest Daily - Control + D Weekly - COntrol + W Monthly - Control + M And that it only affects the time period not the chart type (candle, bar, equivol, P&F), but applies for any chart type. Maybe shortcuts for Equivolume - Control + E (I'd prefer V but depends on impact of cut/paste shortcuts if applicable) P&F - Control + P (hope that isn't a conflict with Print) Price (Bar/Candle/Close) - Control + B (? not sure of this one, probably prefer C but same issue re cut/paste if any) Of course the list could be endless if I put my mind to it. regards Shawky

Why not try F7 (daily), F8 (weekly) and F9 (monthly). You never know, it may work! Cheers, Mosaic

Thanks Shawky and Mosaic, personally I prefer Mosaic's idea of having a single keystroke with the keys for daily, weekly and monthly next to each other but Crt + D, Crt + W is still not a bad option.

I too prefer single key options but when it comes to function keys, each application has its own style and arrangement. The advantage of the CONTROL+Letter combination is that the letter can have meaning i.e. D = Daily, so it is easier to remember. The CONTROL+Letter combination can still be performed with one hand meaning that the other hand need not put the glass of Chivas Regal down. Doesn't bother me any which way, as I can always use a straw if the keystroke requires both hands. regards Shawky

tbreak, have you seen this list of keyboard shotcuts? http://www.incrediblecharts.com/help/keyboard_shortcuts.htm Mossie, you can lead a horse to water...... Shawky, it's alright for you Chivas drinkers to use a straw, but for those of us that partake of the Jack Daniels, I don't think so. Anyway, we don't have any problems on the keyboard, as we still have nine fingers spare..... Regards chance

A keyboard shortcut for the trendline function would be great. I like to draw stops in on stocks that I'm watching or hold, which can be up to 100 charts every week. Not having to mouse over to toggle the trendline button would be a real timesaver. Regards chance

Thanks Chance for the useful suggestion. We plan to add arrows as well (left, right, up and down) which can be placed as trendlines. Possibly even where you can select multiple colors. The To Do list is pretty long but we expect to make better progress this year as a lot of the foundation work has now been completed. Regards Colin
