Hello, not sure if people followed this but the ASX sharemarket game ended last week and there were some interesting comments by the VIC winner: "I have a program called hot trader which is Gann swing charts, and I can't speak too highly of this program - I firstly did a scan on the shares that were in the game and it come up with a list of shares that fit the Gann criteria. I then did research on the shares and picked the ones that I thought were the most reliable and were not really expensive because when you can only have $12500 to spend on one share I felt I had to get good value for money seeing it was only over a short period of time , I didn't want to go over $5 that's why Lihir gold was perfect seeing it was going so well." It made aware of some competitive chart software I hadn't previously come upon. I won't jump ship because I believe that its not the chart tools that are holding me back but my own skills to apply a strategy. In finding my right strategy I am always interested in learning a bit more about charts. I have to ask the following though: 1. Does IC offer the swing chart? I can't find an option. 2. IC kind of does offer a swing view with the weekly data view. The only problem is the week always ends on Friday. Is it true if we looked at a real swing chart of 7 days it would adjust the 7 day period each single trading day and after a Thursday close we would have 'the Thursday's' as the last day of each swing? 3. Do people agree if I state: A swing chart view is just another way to express what other tools already express when a downtrend is over: higher high with higher low, rising 21:EMA, positive RSI, directional movement system that gives signal to go long. 4. Is IC looking into offering swing charts? (Message edited by ohkoolnutz on December 03, 2005)

$18.00/month certainly beats a lot of other products out there. I wouldn't mind paying more (as in $27.00/month) if IC started offering data for the Frankfurt exchange. I consider the money I pay to be for the service and not the software. The service of course cannot be delivered without the software. I do enjoy the message board a lot.

Check out the TAZ thread in the Short Term Forum isn't Gann , but not a bad KISS swing system for counter trends and IC is suitable.
The "Sea of Uncertainty" is defeated by the nimble vessel "Probability", not the unwieldy vessel "Prediction".
