Colin,

the Vienna Stock Exchange is referenced incorrectly in IC.

y_flu.va gives an error
y_flu.vi gives a chart

If you 'CTRL+Y' and select Vienna Stock Exchange it defaults to .va and not .vi

Loading symbols via Yahoo seems to be broken currently. A popup mentioning a data corruption error occurs.

Hello Ohkoolnutz,

I doubt that Colin has seen your original post. I've only picked it up now.

Thanks for reporting that the Vienna Exchange Code is incorrect - we'll correct that in the next release.

I've just tested "y_flu.vi" and its loading correctly.
Have you tried Securities >> Refresh Current security From Server (Shortcut Key F2). This should force an upload of the Yahoo data file if it was corrupted during last upload, correcting the problem.

I get errors on any Yahoo loads. I can't refresh the security because it never gets that far.

Using Windows Explorer, navigate to the Yahoo subfolder of your IncredibleCharts folder. Delete any files found there that start with http_ - Now retry loading a Yahoo stock.

Does this correct the problem ?

Is there any way I can buy shares in Beethoven, Haydn and Mozart?

Hilarius already owns all the Beethoven Symphonies and Piano Concertos, the Philips Mozart Collection, and the Complete Symphonies of Haydn (over 100)

Maybe there is a way to buy an interest in the Viennese concert halls and orchestras? Or the no longer blue Danube?

By the way Strauss is a little modern and revolutionary for my taste ... I should have been born several centuries ago. Please keep me informed of any classical musical investments :-)

Y39105.5000000000.yah was the only data file there. I deleted it. The error remains the same.

The problem is back.

It may have to do with the fact that I am trying to build my own watchlist and IC doesn't like me editing a viz file.

I am quite annoyed by this in two ways:

1. The file format of the viz files is terrible. Why couldn't you use a simple delimited format which is editable in Excel?
2. Why are stock symbols, WKN numbers and ISIN codes treated like a state secret? You figure they post the damn list in downloadable format on the exchange website for the whole world to see.

I am having this same issue. I can try, and try, and try to load the data to no avail, and then I get one that works, then again I get the error. Although I mostly deal with Canadian stock, I also get this error on US stocks as well

Maybe we should start a new thread on this issue. I would but I don't know how to reference the current thread.

It works off and on. I haven't touched the viz files in two days so the viz file editing doesn't seem to cause it.

It's definitely an intermittent problem with putting to chart Yahoo data.

Historical quote data is unavailable for the specified date range.
