Alice, I wouldn't know how to cope with a new family and all these additions. Now and then I tell my friends and acquaintances, I have 3 boys, take your pick. Two of them are great sports people in their field but not financial independent. They are never interested in financial affairs. I am using the computer in the library now in the central coasts in NSW.I never used it before. I never used the library as an adult because i always bought what I need. Those books that I bought I had the opportunity to use them as my source of reference. So it is a pleasant surprise to me on the facilities offered. Have a nice week end. Peter

Books are good,I just bought Alexander Elder over the internet, should take a few days to arrive from Australia. I've heard of Olympic athletes training/competing in the zone, but share traders trading in the zone ?? / Geeze again I've missed something here Kev/Dogalog-i'm anticipating a revival of the mystic share trading market Peterloh can write the section on Zen and the art of sharetrading Kev can do the section on Share trading and the art of marriage - uptrending all the way/ don't know what a channeling marriage is like but I bet it fair rattles the teeth Dogalog can do the section on wisdom, pearls of enlightenment for some, pearls before swine for others- we all choose what we want to hear Pitt can do opal/ options red- the colour for happiness) tourists choose your opals with a flash of red- that way you'll have bad luck, but be happy about it, option traders wear red, that was when bad luck happens with great happiness one does not shoot ones self in the foot Did you read The NZ Dom Post Friday 10th Sept, page B1 Not that I read the paper often - its usually full of bad news, but haven't these people heard of a gratitude diary At the British Psychological Society conference in Edinburgh, (much to the surprise of the Researchers who thought writing about ones trauma can have a cathartic effect) "-they found diarists suffered far more psychological problems than non-diarists, and the more often they made entries, the worst they felt. Those who reread their diaries were the unhealthiest of all." seems those that kept a diary focused on things personal and upsetting, and instead of ending up with more empowered lives, ended up worst off healthwise, more prone to sleeplessness/ anxiety/ headaches/ indigestion/social dysfunction Geeze if I kept feeding my unhappiness back to myself again and again, I bet my unconscious would find it pretty hard to swallow just goes to show how powerful the unconscious is,, so0oo0 please if you catch me having a moan about my life, just do us a favour and wack me around the head Alice

Pitt, you have chosen the subversive path.I'm sure red is your colour but... 20% loss is a laughing matter-Psych Diaries as signs of disfunction when a ship's log=diary posted. peter loh on holiday calls into libraries to contact you. A Story-"You're all Pigs n Sows"says jr to the thin blue line.Later in the Magistrates Court"It's not insulting,ya worship,it's an acronmyn[?]P.I.G.n S.O.W.that is- Police In Groups Some Ofem Women. Ya honour only the education system is to blame."

Options will do your mind in easily. Buy the option at 8 cents, nobody pays any less or any more all day. This is the cheapest the option has been in a long time,,This must be the market bottom, place a stop loss with the broker of 20%. Day 2 nobody pays any more or any less than 6 cents. Thats 20% loss already, cancel stop loss with broker,,THIS MUST be the bottom,,, it was,, the option rises pass 10.5 cents,,I get out at 15.5 cents,,by the skin of my teeth, the option starts rolling back down hill, I get on again at 6.5 cents, and off at 10.5 cents,,it never gets pass 10.5 cents,,,,must have been one of those head n' shoulder things

Hi Pitt, Just taking a few minutes of your time from your passion of trading. If I have 17 days to travel around in that great country of yours and my first port of call is Auckland, is it better for me to go around north island first and then fly to Christchurch from Auckland or is it better to go by ferry from Wellington to the South island? I am going by fly, drive and is planning my trip now. I am also looking forward to get to Bay of Plenty for some of the fabulous fishing experience.I have done some deep sea fishing but i understand the Bay is where the action is. Any suggestion on accommodation along the way even if I have to pay for the experience which will only come once in a life time? Cheers, Peter

-must be one of those head and shoulder things-you're toying with us,aren't you pitt? options aren't my game but i hope someone arrives here soon to converse with you on them.P.Loh seems too pre-occupied with travel arrangements[i thought that's what P.A.'s assisted in]and i don't think options are his game either but he would know enough to speak intelligently to you about them. i just wanted to say hi to you, pitt and ask peterloh a question about candles-I've seen discussion on this forum that candles are ONLY a short term 3-5 day signal, peter does that mean weekly candles 'affect'for 3-5 weeks?or that weekly candles are meaningless? regards,jr

Hi Dogalog, Candles is just a way of telling us how the emotion of the buyers and sellers are played out, whether it is hourly, daily or weekly, it doesn't matter. The formation of the candle for that particular period. I use it mainly to assess the buying or selling strength by the formation of the individual candle or a group of candles. I find candles easier to read than other types of presentation. With practice it makes life easier for me on interpreting charts. Using with other indicators I find a great deal of reliability and today I am at a loss without candles. It is like all learning, unless you master it you will find faults with it rather than using it as a tool to assist you in your decision making. Some meat which are delicious are poison to others, so it is no use convincing others how good it is.You have to decide what is good for you. I am not saying that candles is suitable for every one, but I learn not to criticise something which I do not know enough of. You will never see me talking about options, warrants, cfds etc which I never know anything about.I realise I can learn a great deal from people that trade in derivatives and do admire their ability from a distance. Candles is only meaningful if you know what you are looking for. My PAs' wouldn't know what I am looking for in my travel. In 1996 I went to the states, tracked down the Grand Canyon through the desert, stayed in an Indians village came back on horse back the next day all the way up the Grand Canyon. To make the trip more interesting I planned for months, just to obtain the maximum benefit.I hope it is not an average tourist trip as I realise like all things, the more you put into it, the more you get out of it.I used to travel all over Europe for business but regret to say I haven't actually seen Europe, the beauty she is and deserves to be looked at.So it is not the PA's problem, it is my needs which is different. Now you know why I do not leave it to my PAs. Cheers Peterloh

Dogalog -would I toy with you on the subversive path? Would that I was so clever. You would enjoy the South Island, great sence of humour,,very dry,,even the cooks,, all that plum jam with the pips still left in,,makes for very lumpy toast.. Peter good post on candles,, think I'll do some research on candels,,I use Open/ hi/ lo/ close,....I like equivolumn heaps as well For a NZ trip, its six of one half a doz of the other, you are taking the wife, so if you drive you have someone to laugh with...some folk do rail trips ...a couple of times I've taken the day train Wellington to /Auckland. I'd do Bay of Islands, and/or fishing around Lake Taupo,,at the moment Its cold on the Lake as the hills/ mountains were covered in snow this weekend Its 12 hours by car from Auckland to Wellington, we usually break the journey after six hours and stop at Taupo for the night,, its not a long journey by OZ standards, most tourists don't do it Alot of tourist buses go south from Auckland/ Rotorua /Taupo/ Auckland, & alot just do the south island in their camper vans Peter,,Bay of Islands- North of Auckland,, is our goal for the kids when they get bigger, that way when the husband has a heart attack trying to land the big fish, the kids can leap on him, & hammer his ribs to massage his heart. Right now the kids are a bit young, so we go to the top of the South Island, and fish out of Picton,,its very tame and sheltered, the Sounds are very beautiful, and dolphins special as they chase the fish away ... Picton gives the kids a positive fishing experience even with dolphins, no matter what the weather conditions are like. Number 2 son just turned 11 yrs old while we were in Auckland this weekend,, his school team won the local Chess Tournament, they got hammered in the North Island champs,,but did very well in the handball games during the breaks. From Taupo to Wellington, its not very tourist country in terms of very few hot pools South of Taupo. Rotorua has the best sulphur smelling hot pools. We did the Desert road south of Taupo at 5am yesterday morning,,lovely covering of snow on the desert road plus frost and grit on the road,,early morning sunshine made the snow look like one was traveling through crystals and diamonds,,clear sky, no wind, poetic. We saw on truck stuck in the bank on the right hand side,,must have slipped on the ice/frost in the night while traveling on the left hand side and slid over the centre line, and a fresh hole in the farmers fence with a car down the bank in the creek ..they must have also slipped in the night when the snow fell, not so poetic. We took the kids to the Bay of Plenty, South East of Auckland. There was a good hot pool up in the bush, south of Gisborne, with a cold plunge pool, so cold it feels like ones foot is burning, my kids jump in, simply because they can..I can't One can either fly into Christchurch, or drive,,depends what one is looking for.. we've done both, once with the kids we flew and hired a car to go to Hanmer springs hot pools,, we spent so long waiting in the airport for the plane to have its engine serviced at the last moment,,we could have taken the ferry and driven to our destination of Hamner Springs. If driving, one can take the ferry,,go down the Kaikoura coast, one of my favourite parts of NZ, & across the Lewis pass to the West Coast,,,I've never been to Fiordland or Stewart Island,,it cold's at the moment so tourists who don't wear bug repellant won't get eaten alive better got unpack all the traveling gear cheer's Alice

Alice, Thanks for the information, every bit of detail helps. I had no idea of the distance from Wellington to Auckland. 12 hours, drive and I know the distance roughly. I was suggested that I should fly to Christchurch, then stay in Queenstown for 2 days, see one of the "sounds" perhaps visit Mt Cook and travel up to Picton, all about 7days. How long does it take to cross the straits ie from south to north island? From Wellington I will go via waitomo caves,Roturua, see the Bay of Islands, fish the Bay of Plenty, see some Mauri arts & craft, geysers, mudbath, hangi or Mauri concert.Go further north to the Kauri Forests and back to Auckland, where I attend conference for a couple of days, another 2 more days in Auckland then back to Sydney. How does it sounds? Candles used to be a mystery to me although I had been charting for 10 years before I set out to learn everything about candles 2 years ago.Now it is my preferable presentation. I find it telling more and sometimes the emphasis or patterns really stands out and impressed upon me, telling me the course of action I should take immediately. I used Trading For A Living by Alexander Elders as a text book when I was doing a subject in charting in the ASX. The lecturer and co-ordinator was no other than the well known Colin Nicholson. He is very knowledgeable. Trading long term was probably one of my strategy learned from him.The other comes naturally as a qualified bean counter, knowing the taxation CGT advantage of a long term trade. To me,is what you see is what you get, no backhand or undertone, straight between the eyes and no pussy footing around. If I dont know about a thing,I will tell you straight, saves beating around the bush. A few of the forum members is trying to help out by getting someone who know about options to talk to you.If you wish to discuss options, try Bundy, I have the impression he is very good. I know nothing about options but I dont mind learning about it when I have some time on hand. Cheers, Peter

So there you go Alice Ching Wen Pitt, advice that you should take, all you have to do is go ask, alice and all will be 'happiness'.They are ready for you now.Take it away,Ms. Pitt. Before you go though i'd just like to say that if i have been "offensive"/"confusing"/some how given you a DownBeat it was never my intention.I was just joshing/pullin ya leg/trying to bring a ghost of a smile to a lady while she waited on a reply. It filled up the 2/3 weeks ,hey? PETE-no pussy footing around, have you ever heard of the expression-A cat can look at a King? No backhander or undertone, ever played poker?Draw,Stud,Manilla? Straight between the EYES-after all the bluff and raising there is a point when one says "CALL" and d'OTHER,they show. So down in "..training Navels"show me/us what you've got on Macmahon[MAH].It's my Call,no problem if you want to take your time. All due respect, jr (Message edited by dogalog on September 22, 2004)
