JHX Daily
Dug, I prefer here so I can find them later, even 3 years from now... 1) JHX has formed a double top with a measured target at around 8.50 which was "confirmed" on the 6/3. I think it is a good prospect if the market were to weaken further. On top of this, fundamentally I believe the XDJ sector is going to get the "dressing down" long over due. ps: I am a "P" plate driver when come to short game, so, don't place too much hope on these "prospects".

ZFX Daily
1) I reckon ZFX is a dead duck, given time you will see it forming a rounding top!

The ASX site list of the active shorts by percentage which you might find useful and an insight to what the punters are actually shorting. http://www.asx.com.au/data/shortsell.txt Does not include the market maker CFD shorts but I dont know how they compare in overall market impact. Tony_M

Tony, Thanks. I have been collecting this list for quite a while, basically am trying to plot a trend of % changes over time of a stock that I am interesting in. Along the way, it becomes too tedious and I kind of let it go for a while... just wonder if there's any provider for such info? Anyone? What I'd found is knowing the % of short is not that useful in comparing with knowing the trend of % changes. Also since shorting is a contrarian move, I like to stay away from the more popular short candidates (just notice ZFX is a popular one). Cheers.

This is OK,holycow,as long as it's not exclusively on what you can actually Short in our Market. Anyhow is this a bear flag/wedge?or am I just wanting to see it come back a bit so I can buy a Bargain?

You know you're in a Hick place, when there's nowhere you can Go, that you shouldn't!

Dug, Going back to your previous post, I believe someone has coined this term "pattern plurality" which I had mentioned once in this forum. At that time, it was the "plurality" of H&S. This time, I saw quite a few bungee attempts and as a result of the jumps quite a few are trying to climb back up (and to attempt another?), hence you see many bearish flags or pennants. With regard to your TOX chart, gotta say this - let's apply some "relative" assessment of the chart. It has some kind of 3 months rounded bowl breakout, the only sin it has is its rapid rise which as usual I believe will receive some selling due to profit taking. But is it a good short candidate? I think the most likely scenario would be it pulling back to consolidate at around 2.00 and if fails will retest 1.86 and then mark time and if the market were to improve it will take off and move higher. ...nope, I don't think I wanna short this one. I'd probably go long instead, should it pull back. Btw most wedge and pennant are not broadening like yours, they are mostly narrowing at the top - with a reason - the narrowing is due to the lack of buying interest, sometimes simply due to a lack of interest in the stock in general, as shown by the BOL chart attached. I believe they have to be narrow at the top give a bearish punch. BOL in this case will most likely to retest its recent low of 3.51. Cheers. BOL Daily
