I met Bill once. I found it strange that before i was even able to finish saying hello he was already into a speech about how only a tiny percentage of his trades provided most of his profits. Cheers Lafee

Kate, I know what you mean and how you feel, sometimes this kind of feeling is so strong that I have to rush to my fridge and grab a few big chunk of chocolate... Just in case... I think the current bounce is just a short term reaction. At best it will re-test its recent high, make a double top and then coming back down and make a double bottom. If it can break out of the double top and go blue sky, I think that's a good entry level. Lafee, I think it's hard for someone to be in top form all the time in chart reading. Sometimes we win sometimes... we just have to be humble. Let's judge McL based on this current observation and see how valid it is when the time comes because I see this one has a lot of potential. Cheers.

Maybe it would be better to judge by his recommendations from say 2003 til now. One tip really means nothing. I personally have no idea what he has been saying lately but from what I have seen in the past he was a cronic bear. Cheers Lafee

holycow: Eblode is a gentleman and absolutely straight shooter. He mean s what he says, and his opinion is very nice to have, for both of us. Eblode (Eugenio): Thank you very much for your very kind compliment to holycow and me. I think we are both overwhelmed!

1) the US market last night, although it is green, can't say it is bullish, due to the low volume of trade. ODY & Eblode, Sorry if I'd sounded cynical. I do appreciate your kind words, it's a sincere question. Cheers.

S&P500 Hits Strong Resistance G'day HC, As can be seen from the chart below the S&P500 which I feel gives a better indication of the US market than the DOW for obvious reasons is finding it hard to close above the 1406.6 level. Note also the ever diminishing Volume which is diverging from the price not to mention the Twiggs Money flow which has also diverged.
It will be interesting to see tomorrow if it can push through the resistance or just fall away.

Eugenio, Time for another bet mate (you can tell that I'm getting bored being out of the market). This one will be a real test for me. I'm going to make it really easy for you to win back that bottle of Cascade Light. Last night the DOW closed at 12,318.6. Now this should tempt you big time Eugenio. I bet you that it can't close above 12,342.6. That's a measly 24 points. Are you on???

Rudy, Was thinking of responding to your post re: A BIRDS EYE VIEW... thought that is quite a good observation and reckon you may be on the right track. But since it is a weekly watch, may be it's more appropriate we revisit that in a week or two and see what's the follow up. ASX has this habit of doing better in its second half of the month than first. Also March 15 is the index expiry date, March 29 is the stock option expiry date which tends to create a fair bit of fluctuation and "noise". Just in case you are interested in knowing, check this out: http://www.asx.com.au/investor/options/trading_information/expiry_calendar.htm One final bit, your bet with Eblode, it's getting interesting... Cheers.

Hi HC, I have always found the index and options expiry dates of great interest. They certainly boost the volumes traded. In my BIRDS EYE VIEW I suggested that we has some resistance at 5899 but our market was only able to get to 5893.6 before high tailing it out of that level. I was surprised to see how quickly it caved in. I felt pretty confident this morning that the S&P500 looked like it was ready to start turning in the short term and hence my bet with Eugenio on the DOW makes things interesting. Even the Shanghai Index looks like it's not far from turning so I can't see our market being able to continue on it's merry way up much longer.

Rudy, You're on! Just had a word with Alan (Greenspan, that is)and he said go for it. Tomorrows close on the DOW is on or over 12,342.6 is my bet. I would of made it a case of Cascade Light but Alan said to watch out for Rudy cause he believes he tips Shane Oliver. Eugenio
