Some unloved stocks that I had my money in. Hopefully a few will turn out to be long term good ones. I will post charts monthly on how they are faring and whether I have opted out during the month. Most of these were bought 2 - 3 months ago. Some of them were candidates nominated by some in the short term trade.Of these, only KZL were sold out recently but,I think there is more to come from this one. I shall be back on this one soon.

ABY should benefit from the rise in copper prices. When I posted this little spec, copper price was a lot lower then, so there may be some juice in this for the future. This quote is from Reuters today. "COPPER surged to its loftiest level in more than two weeks, driven by extended losses in the US dollar and upbeat manufacturing surveys in the United States, Europe and China that reinforced economic recovery hopes. Other industrial metals also surged with lead hitting a two-week peak of $US1760 a tonne and nickel gaining more than 8 per cent at $US16,600, its highest level since late September. Copper for September delivery on the New York Mercantile Exchange's COMEX division jumped US5.85c, or 2.6 per cent, to close at $US2.3305 a pound, after hitting its highest level in two and a half weeks at $US2.3690" " Also lifting sentiment in copper were falling stocks of the metal in LME warehouses, which at around 266,000 tonnes compare with levels around 500,000 tonnes in early April. LME copper has gained about 60 per cent in the first half of this year, driven primarily by Chinese buying for stockpiles. " The report is optimistic and I positioned myself on several little mining specs, some of which are doing quite well. Please do you own research before jumping in, better still talk to your financial adviser as to the suitability of the stock for your trading portfolio.

Hi PL What happened to TTY, was it a name change or liquidation or just a very long trading halt. Google does not seem to have any answers ? The head and shoulders over the markets looks ominous.

" I have my own unique system " " I buy high and sell low " "Money is not the main game , it is sticking to the plan, through thick and thin , unwavering from a disciplined approach to share trading "

Hey Pete, KZL look very interesting. A triangle below resistance is generally not a confidence boosting pattern if you're long. Yet this ascending triangle is above a support area and it's target points to a spot above resistance that would incidentally close a now open gap. And then there is much larger gap just above the $. With BHP having sold it's nickel plant in the Banana benders state and likely to do so with it's nickel mine, nickel shares should be on everyone's shopping list. Of course, should that threatening H&S pattern on the major indices break past the neckline, all bets are off until the next market low is located.

Hi MS, hershy already answered question. Well come back, it is always nice to hear from you. Hi hershy, I have bought KZL for a longer term trade. They are quite well diversified now, in copper, zinc, nickel and gold. I think there is value in this one. With their capital raising, they now have a stronger balance sheet. Prior to that, they are a concern as they had a debt level which was not comfortable with many investors. I think their management are quite innovative. I do not know how they were able to have their hands on such a diversified holding on the various base metals. For longer term trade, where I see value I tried not to pay too much attention to charts.KZL has come back to a level where I find it very interesting and worth taking a risk for.

Hershy, I think your KZL data needs adjustment for the recent share issue. It hasn't fallen as far as it looks on your chart. IC data looks different. Ken

Hi hershy & MS, I had stayed away from OZL for a very long time. I stayed away from it even from the OX days. I bought in after they sold a greater part of their assets to the MNG group. With a less complicated structure and they can concentrate on their sole project, I thought they would do well. One of the issues they have is a group of shareholders are sueing them for not disclosing certain information when they bought in. Can you quantify the amount of loss they may face if this court action succeed? I am still in the money but concern, that this could be eroded in the short term

OZL will have about $700 million in cash plus the monthly profit from their current operation. So they are not in an exactly adverse position.OZL's SP has been down for the last 3 days on low volume.

KZL - I thought they need money, so I applied for quite a bit more then I was entitled too. I had luck with OST,BSL and PBG, guess what, I did not get one share more than I was entitled to. I do not know the reason they rather gave this to the sophisticated investors, than let existing share holders benefit.I only had a small amount bought just before it when ER. Below is the 6 months chart of KZL in candlesticks pattern. hershy can give his opinion if there is any variation.Ken, thank you for pointing it out, I actually had overlook that point.

MGX features here. Here are some abstracts from the Eureka Report. "David Paradice, one of Australias best-known small-cap experts, manages about $860 million in companies outside the ASX 100. His expertise is in selecting some of the most beaten up, downtrodden and downright ugly stocks to add to his portfolio." "Today he lists Platinum Asset Management, Mount Gibson Iron and Pacific Brands as his small-cap standouts and explains why he believes they have been priced incorrectly." "he remains a true believer in discounted cash flow as does Warren Buffett. But he has since done an about-turn on resource stocks and singled out iron ore junior Mount Gibson for special attention." " At the start of the year about 36% of the index was resources and as things were just being carted out, we decided we would move a bit into that area. Now Mount Gibson had fallen from $3.50 down to about 90"-odd. But the volume of iron ore that it's selling has been locked in and the price has been locked in, so theres not a great deal of risk because the earnings of the company are reasonably easy to forecast. So when [Mount Gibson] hit 4050" we started buying it, based on what we know about the business; the stock is about 90" now. Based on the certainty of the production and the near certainty of the price, we think the stock looks cheap."

Hi Peter Have a look at the AQA chart, a nice pennant almost complete - target $9.70? What do you think? I'm also holding some OZL - held too long in the downturn and doubled up at 50c, though still underwater. Why are you getting out now, any particular reason or are you seeing a market top? Baysider

Hi baysider, Bollingers Bands tightening on AQA. You should see some action here soon, it has to break out.
I like OZL which I bought recently. It gives me 23% return fairly quick. I am waiting for it to retrace before buying in again.
