IBA

1) I think the title is a bit exaggerated, well, this is what happen when you are looking at a slow market...

2) I think I have shown once this stock has a couple good entry points at 30.5, 36.5 and 47.5 or something like that... no matter, that's not what I want to talk about. Let's look at volume instead.

3) See the big ellipse and small circle? Well my read is that the stock plunged from $2 to 55c and went back up to 1.35 and came down, etc... with a much much lower volume than that shown by all the black arrows - does it mean anything to you?

4) I take that all the black arrows are "smart investors" accumulating this stock - AND IT HAS A GOOD STORY THAT GOES WITH IT!

5) the chasing and collection of stock never stops! Even up to today! This morning it spikes up to 80c with some sizable volume at OPEN!

6) now, call me anything you like, I think this stock CAN go places. AND don't tell me Volume is not important please. Without volume, a stock rally will be anemic, sick or even dead before it can lift off. It's the "blood" to a stock and it matters.

ps: It pays to look a little long term with this one

just read that 1 million shares (options issued in 1999 exercise @50c each) had been issued on the 1/10/04, I guess that means we should expect some selling pressure? Take caution please.

Hi Dennis,

It looks great really. Let's give it a couple more days before we pop open any champagne for celebration. Personally I'd expect some "throw-back" after this close to 12% rise - it must be tempting for some to take some quick profit - hence I won't be surprise if the price were to drop back to 79-80c level. I'll take that to be a good entry level after it stabilises.

After saying all the above, I am not ruling out any continual rally today either, if there is one on the card - 'tis a good position to be in, and my best wishes to your eventual smiling all the way to the bank! :-)

Cheers and have a good day.

the reading of tea leaves was spot on yesterday with the price closes precisely at 79c. Today it has recovered all its lost ground. Tomorrow? Ask me again.

An interview with the CEO of IBA. I thought it comes across to be very positive. All I can remember is the $$$ - like the market in Asia-PAC is estimated to between $2bil-5bil, which you can also read as "NO CLUE". Anyway, if we take the lower estimate of 2 bil and assume IBA is able to grab a tinee winee 10% of the market (realistic assumption if you consider KODAK has 65% of the US market), then, we can assume there is a cool 200 mil to be made by IBA.

Now, 200 mil may not sound a lot to you, but if you can spare a moment - that works out to be a life time of hay supply to this cow...

A thing of beauty is a joy forever... :-)IBA

1) a small gap up today, which usually means there is pretty good demand for this stock. Hold it tight and see if the gap will be filled (there is no rule that says gap will have to be filled btw).

2) volume is about average I guess the message is if the gap is filled, don't be too surprised.

3) If it ever drops back to 75c, I will buy more.

Takeover proposal from IBA Health Limited
IBA Health Limited (“IBA”) has announced a takeover proposal for Health Communication Network Limited (“HCN”).

While HCN has yet to receive any formal offer, it understands that IBA’s proposal is an all-share offer of 1.73 IBA shares for each HCN share.

The HCN Board will meet as soon as possible to consider IBA’s proposal and will provide advice to HCN shareholders subsequently.

In the meantime, shareholders are strongly advised to take NO ACTION in relation to IBA’s announcement or any document received from IBA until HCN’s Directors have issued their
recommendation. A recommendation will be set out in HCN’s Target’s Statement that will be sent to all shareholders.

Your Directors will be carefully considering the short and medium-term value of IBA shares compared with HCN shares.

It is expected that HCN will be appointing advisors today.

IBA(I'd Blew It) daily
iba

1) it's amazing to note how many CEO's out there thinking they are good at all things... take a look at LLC and IBA and note how CLUMSY they are in engineering a takeover! They thought they are some kind of grand maestro but in fact they come across like some kind of ASSes that got wrongfooted in a China shop - there is no finesse, no class and no slick movement - all I can hear is the sound of glass breaking...

2) ...and now it's the share holders that are bearing the brunt of their blunders! Am I please? Just give me a gun and you'll find out!
