this stock is making a turn today, worth watching. The news - "analyst" is saying they may return AUD 1 billion back to fundies and investors (through share buy back of pref and ordinary shares).

Check it out.

I got out of CML this morning - didn't like the star last Friday and then the selling today. Will be watching for more rebound.

1) Retailers' boudoir battle
March 20, 2005
Agent Provocateur lingerie has been a big winner in the bedroom battle of Britain and could soon be seen here.

Agent Provocateur lingerie has been a big winner in the bedroom battle of Britain and could soon be seen here.

Myer and David Jones have shown interest in stocking Britain's sexiest knickers, writes Holly Byrnes.

In the $1.5 billion battle of the boudoir, a racy British brand with a French name is vying for place in the smalls drawers of Australian women.

The brand could also prove a huge drawcard for the department store chain that snares exclusive rights to sell it...

2) I will be rushing out to buy a few thousands CML shares, without any reservation. This is a BUY call!

3) If they bring in Victoria's Secret, I will be loading up more...

4) Referring to the beaut (who needs chart?), I think Black is the way to go... and yes, it's go! Go! GO! I think it's going to be the HOTTEST sector to be in! Obvious!

They better get an exclustivity on whips, too,HC and those Nurse Ilsa* hats instead of lookalike hairdos?would have it set up fait acompli, oui, oui.

*nurse Ilsa was a 'friend' of the Aushwitz Commandant. She decorated her bedroom with lampshades covered in tatooed human skin-fascinating fact.
Maybe dj's will go with this, cml mightn't want to solly their rep.

Back into yer old threads, hey HC?
CML is your honest to goodness real Mum'n'Dad get into the Stock Market share.Remember HC how they[CML] used to give shareholder Discounts if one had a minimum parcel?
This, according to God[aka Allan Kohler!!]is down because of the cost of rebadging Kmart and BiLo to just straight Coles.Let alone the ongoing expense of ditching Myers[Shop leases etc]Seems the privatised Myers may wreck Target before competing with DJ's,too.
Anyhow Holy Cow I'm probably telling you what you already know.Just thought some readers mightn't be clear or know any da%$#d thing about CML!!
Is there anything in the Chart from last week that signals these last two days events,HC?There was always the background FA tale to show how it might wag.
I'm waiting on the outcome of this home-brand deal on grocery items by the Big Pair[WOW/CML]to hit d'Bourse.
Got any Metcash "chat",HC?

regards,
jr

Dug,

It's not much good talking in hindsight... but what the heck, may be next time people will pay more attention :-)

Also I think you know by now I am a long winded fella and the thread I have started will never die - for as long as I am active in this forum. If they live here, I can find them because "cow" has very good memory... if they go elsewhere, they get buried. Hope you see why I like to talk in my "territory".

CML Daily

1) all the above comments are in hindsight; but in real life, if I were to hold CML, this would be how I will exit the stock. I will be lying if they always work this well, but most time this method allows me the benefit of flexibility. If the mistake were to be so "obvious", that the sp rebounds with a vengeance and shoots past my exit point and makes a new high, I have no problem re-entering the stock when it pulls back.

But in this climate (of fear and uncertainty), I think this method is working out quite well. An immediate advantage I find is I don't have to live with the heartburn of seeing my profit eroded.

CML-MTS-WOW-weekly

2) if you are "serious" in the con-dis sector, you should take caution when MTS reported a less than satisfactory result not too long ago. If you hold CML, you should pay attention when WOW suffered a series of selling down in the last one and a half week.

Can't see how CML can avoid a similar fate! The only reason there was a delay I think has a lot to do with its recent share buy back... but then I am talking in hindsight here, so there's no credibility in saying so. May be next time we can keep an eye on the three... for example, MTS is recovering somewhat, if it really can make it all the way back with RSI crossing back up above 50, we can assume WOW and CML would be able to make a similar recovery without too much effort?

Cheers.

ps: Didn't know that AK is "god". He is close to one when he speaks his mind and wallops the industry baddies, bad business practices, etc... but he is "omigod!" when he tells his readers it's a go go go in the stock market because the economic outlook is good to very good and hence with good to very good global economy, investors couldn't lose out, etc... it's worrying from my angle because I see sp from chart and he sees sp by numbers!

Charts don't lie but numbers can be cooked with creative accounting; and then there's this quote on statistics and lies...

If Cudeco could pull a stunt and made millions for its scam masters, and if AMP can engineer a cartel of financial advisors to protect its turf, and MLC too,... then, I am rather, no... very sceptical that this market is capable of rising and rising like a phoenix. For every dollar the investor puts in, I am wondering how much he/she can gain by listening to him...

But then, this just my view and this just the stock market, nobody agrees with everybody all the time. Right? :-)

Are you really so merciless,HC?the slightest falter and you're out of there?I can see that in the current market such is a Workable Method and backing it up by going back in on the next day's positive turn[if that happens]covers any chance of regret,Like you said elsewhere Better wrong than sad.

Did you see Msparks' post in CFD providers, last night?About the 10grand players doing Million Turnover/month for 1%/day?It's like that King Arthur dill and his millionaire method of buying a Bank or WES for three days holding,1-5% on 350grand is a $ earner, right?
Such "methods" have always been in d'Market, just seems now that every two-bit "dude'n'lassie"is dreaming and actually having a go at it!!On borrowed money! there'll come d'Terrible Day and geez they'll BLEAT,Allan will probably make d'Call for a Government Inquiry and the newspapers will be filled with Shock HORROR and all the dills will go back to muttering about "Can't go wrong with Bricks'n'Mortar" and try to become Slum Landlords to lose it all cos they can't find Tenants!!

Anyway, off to the local lake to watch migratory swamp birds.Maybe there'll be a Jabiru.
cheers,
jr

Dug,

If I am reading you right, you are referring to my quicksilver "bailing" out of a stock? Yeah mate! I can tell you these - I'd been getting in/bailing out of BHP, WES, LEI like going round in an evolving door. Instead of a big kill, many small bites taste equally good.

Today, watch me, WPL here I go... or may be tomorrow? :-)

Cheers.
