Hi all ,
One that has just caught my eye,has been travelling between 70c and a $1 since last June and on Friday broke above this level with good volumn for a 9 month high.If it can consolidate here $1 looks good support level .Then there doesn't look like much resistance until 1.40.(oh if it was just that easy)Any thoughts anybody?
Val J
P.S. I do not hold PEM (yet)

Hi vbj,

I've been holding PEM for a while now and there is a strong indication of fundamentals behind the recent rally in share price. It could quite conceivably reach $1.40 in the near future.

I reverse-engineered their sensitivity analysis using current exchange rates, and zinc and lead prices, and have come up with a positive impact on profit of $29.045m. If you add this figure to the previous years profit and remove abnormals, it should be comfortably near the $30 million zone.

This looks like quite a good figure considering its a $173m company (though the p/e in the zinc/lead sector seems quite low)

Haven't had the chance to do the TA yet, but will post when I do.

Cheers,

Paul

Hi Paul,
Thanks for the facts and figures.I'm not much into them ( too lazy).I bought in yesterday, and set stop at 99c.Would have liked a stronger close though.
How did you go with the T/A.All the idicators seem pretty good to me, all heading up.
Just reading Guppy's Trend Trading, and this one seems to fit the bill nicely.Only time will tell.
Bye for now Val J.

I saw your comments but had no money left over to invest. Am rather partial to Mid cap miners and this one is quite diversified too.

Am sorry I missed the ride - am watching more closely and hope to step on next trip up the channel. Charts below show to also expect some resistance at $1.20 but $1.40 is quite achievable

Daily Heavy resistance around $1.00 has sent it scurrying towards the lower trend line
daily
Weekly Trust it has some herbs left to make it through $1.00 next time

Agree with the potential tops. But it needs to find a bottom with the current pullback first. Hopefully, 90 will hold. The weekly signals, both MACD and EMA are still bullish.

It's a little rip snorter isn't it....

Still they have a 20.6% interest in STX along with everything else.

Some time since PEM post here. I dont think Zn has decided what it is doing with price action yet, but the PEM chart is starting to look +ve IMO.

Daily chart: hasn't broken out yet but MA's, TMF, Vol, and chart pattern all look positive

Holding and ready to top up in response to PA

PEM is unlikely to look positive today after zinc went down the plughole overnight.

I'm not sure what's driving Perilya. It seems to have a strong direction even though the zinc price hasn't shown any real moves over the last week. PEM has been marching to a different drummer from the rest of the zinc stocks.

Looks that PEM is ready for another ST trade

Daily chart:

pem

Perhaps the zinc price has temporarily bottomed out:

Topping up today - would like some more volume though

Both PEM's & Zn's charts are looking somewhat +ve and may warrant some further interest.

Unfortunately PERILYA LIMITED Company Announcements have not all been rosie, (For example UBS selling down holding, nasty accident on site reducing output...) so I suggest one looks for demonstrated respect of the LT MA & SD channel before any share purchase.

Hi Max,

All the ducks are in place and PEM is ready to go.I have a few riding on the back of PEM recently. It look like the inverse head and shoulders have gone side way to consolidate and today's break out is the resumption of that trend. It is only my interpretation, but it looks like a positive direction PEM is heading.Good volume today and good rise on a market down day.

Good luck.

Hi Peter,
A close above 4.43 for the week would put weekly in it's up phase as well. MA's also crossing on weekly.
cheers

Agree with you Max,it looks MAX has everything in its corner this time.I would be surprise if PEM does not breached the $5 mark before the end of the month, perhaps much earlier.

Cheers

The Zn Chart might provide some context for possible PEM future performance. Zinc has broken out of its recent downtrend, and currently trading above the annual average price (see Kitco chart below). All things being equal the Zn price should trend higher (although E Waver's seem to suggest otherwise).

PEM has broken out of its recent downtrend and is respecting longer term support. Once $4.70 is taken out I am suggesting some impulsive moves up.

Zinc price action: Currently heading in the right direction...

Hi guys,
The weekly chart is starting to grind higher. Notice how the moving averages did one of those things where it looks like its rolling over but comes back quickly. $5 soon.

The MD & CEO has just given an update on the company pipeline of projects (on BOARDROOMRADIO) and it sounds quite +ve: Healthy Cash position with limited debt, strong cash flow together, Low PE ratio with organic pipeline growth now with multiple asset/s mine-life (Flinders stockpiling Zn & Au ore for direct smelting) and some appropriate M&A proposed.

Daily Chart: Whipsawing in the right direction ~ if it behaves $5.30 may be achievable...

Got to $5.39 before it was time to bail out. Has been correcting since it went up 5x in 12 months (in 2006).

If the current support does not hold then I'll be tempted to sell my last 1,000 shares and go for more productive prospects.

Daily chart: Certainly approaching oversold territory for PEM ~ should have $4.00 in its tank...
