Can these two be compared ? One is an upstart cashing in on the home theatre experience (no shops out west yet, do they do camera's too) while HVN is a diversified retailer expanding globally. will we see $4.00 again?
possible upside to $3.40 but difficult with specialised competition ,"Good Guys" , JBH etc , sector and interest rates possible good entry point , not too far from long term support

Mark, Believe your charts and your eyes - HVN sucks and is good for a rebound play to 3.40 (that's all). JBH is reaching for the sky, and there's no limit (yet). Cheers.

C'mon M Sparks is it a question of the plasma screen led recovery?Who'll bring in the cash JBH or HVN? well there's another mob just floated Clive Peters[don't know d'code] clive peters is the sort of Main arm of JBH in Qld,Brisbane at least. Now I could chat of the economic effects caused by Qld geography but Mark you might'nt feel you could make a Dollar$$ out of such waffle so I'll tell you of a recent shopping trip and some other stuff but you'll have to read all of it til you get to the makepoint$$$-wise. So I live in Brizoz Western Suburbs. Here the west is Premo;d'EAST here is sort of 'squalid'in a suburb lifestyle sense that is.Anyhow if,If,IF there is to be a plasma screen led recovery,it's here out west in the 'leaffy'[as in trees, leaves.following mark?] Anyway,JBH has a new store set up here, around here in a place called Indooroopilly. It's,well, Mark it's located itself into a Disaster zone, that's the only way I can put it,The JBH West Sub Store is DOOMED to fail and that tells me a lot about JBH and their operation. They're Dills,Mark, don't even think about them,Cross 'EM off the List.HOPELESS. now,i expect if I were you Mark that you'd want some kind of indication of reasons to trust such 'Outlandish'statements'? After all the message is DITCH JBH cos well jr said so!!?!all you need to do for further elaborations is ask, MARK but in your request can you at least acknowledge that you believe that store placement is vital,VITAL to a retail operation? if,when, this gets posted in about 3hrs from 12.30pm,just if you feel like it Mark.Manana/Tomorrow whatever.
Dig for it.

Well, there ya go, sell JBH and buy HVN right ! Sort of, look at the chart and ya know JBH has sprung a leak in the hot air balloon. What about a few others Dug.
I could go on but that'll do for starters.

HVN is iffy.it's problem is that each store's departments are franchised out ergo a plasma screen recovery won't carry it [HVN].A long term 5yearer Chart still shows downtrend tendencies and that old goat Gerry and his carrying ons at Byron Bay may be showing lost plot tendencies. Take it from moi,MM,the Great can be rolled over by time. A reputation is only as good as your last deal. Anyway,of all the fancygoods, listed Company's I'm thinking Billabong may be the one for you,Mark to go 'intense' about.DON"T GO NEAR GLOBE. ............................................................ Now you were being delibrately provocative, right Mark, with that Repco biz? Ahhh mark, the Dividend is a Trap but other than that FACT,my story about mis-location has Repco in it as well!! but you didn't ask so even with pleading I'll never mention it again!! ........................................................ GUNN's are banned,Mark. They shouldn't be played with, they're a plot. They'll have definite earnings probs with soft wood/paper manufacture SOON and they'll pay the price for thinking they could bolster earnings by suing GREENIES and other un fortunates. When that Bodgie who's Tassie Premier gets exposed?Well they're for d'Gun. ........................................................ I'm looking for laughs,Mark so why don't you tell me what YOU think of these and any other companies. Keep it as serious as you want. That'll do it for me. jr

Better chuck a chart to go with my call on Billabong,MM. You started by putting irrelevant charts in Specific Company Topics so YOU,MM,set the precedent. The bored'll getya!!I'm just following procedure!!
So here's the Bones. Looong Term intact. Short, real short unconfirmed as yet,has a couldbe stickman triangle douverlacky maybe possibly kicking in. You can see the upcoming resistance but you Could go now with a stop just under that base candle spot. Then you'd be in sweet IF that paltry downtrend line gets broke[as i understand it that's only two hits not three on d'DT{down trend},like turning around the very next day don't count?] All in all Billio may be able to be nursed over $13,move the Stop, hope $13.50+ line turns from resist to support and, well,ya're AWAY. or you could wait and watch while checking up on what THEY say espesh down on d'Billabong. The beauty of choice, hey Mark? jr

Too much choice is not a good thing. Heres a few for you to play with and laugh at, the thread has been corrupted now anyhow and the HVN and JBH aren't goin anywhere in a hurry and BBG is travellin about the same speed atmo. The following are the sort ya have to buy and keep em whatever happens ifyanowotimn, cause noone's gunna want them if it goes bad, right! Great Report, worth a look
Responder the transponder is going worldwide
Dirty business but someone has to do it ,right.
And ya don't even get earnings with sumathose, yet.

Does CDO fit into the same template? Another retailer, seems to be through its Stage 4 decline and is sitting in Stage 1.

CDO Weekly
CDO Daily
1) sorry if this comes across to be less than encouraging, but I'd rather be telling you what I think than telling you some white lies. As usual, my view could be wrong. 2) from the fundamental angle, it seems CDO due to its relatively strong financial position is "favoured" by many investors. The trouble is those who love this stock are either fully "allocated" on this one, or they are deterred from loading more due to the lack of "good news" from both business and stock performance. The retail climate in the Aussie market has not been a help either. Other than "these" issues, I think the stock is fine and I think the share holders are thinking likewise because they are not rushing to sell their stocks. Also, I believe (guessing here) since Solly sold out to the company, there's a concentration of free floats with the company, I am not sure if the lack of large enough quantity of free float is deterring other funds from taking a position in this company. ... here's a contrarian thinking - at the best of time where the index is reaching a high, this one is going nowhere, would you want to contemplate its faith if (IF!) the sentiment were to turn bearish?
