can't find where the thread is... just in case, here's a little caution, didn't want to rock the boat when Mark et al were discussing this one. My "private" target is 4.20. So, take your time. I am.

Hi HC You are trying to steal these and why not if some idiot wants to sell them at those prices!!! Thought we would get a bounce today with the positive market in the US. The guts has been knocked out of this market. 200 day ema crossed and my resistance point for all ords in tatters. Better give me a target for FWD,ARP,CCL and ATG if you have one in mind. Fools rush in

Mark, You promise you won't tear my eye balls out? 1) FWD - 5.00; 2) ARP - 3.00; 3) CCL - 7.00; 4) ATG - 0.70; Frankly I doubt their accuracy. Reasons being there are other more important (menacing) influencing "agents" to the con-dis sector. 1) interest rate hike (I can almost visualise people "rushing" to put every penny into their mortgages to cut down the interest repayment); 2) inflation rate fear (threat/fear is always made out to be worse than it actually is); 3) oil price hike (this is a tax and is unavoidable - transportation cost, personal mobility cost, etc will go up for sure). 4) all the above have a combined effect on consumer spending habit/pattern. So I really don't know where the price will be going. All I know is until all these influencing agents have to be either neutralised, reduced or the consumers have been "conditioned" to accepting higher prices before we can expect this sector to go back to "normal". When it will happen is anyone's guess. Hence I try not to set any target including CDO. The above is just a caution to anyone who are contemplating of going in. (I didn't know you'd jumped the gun, sorry). Cheers.

Mark, Note the volume is very light - it's cheap sales by some nervous holder due to yesterday's rout. Keep cool.

ps: I don't hold this stock, so, it's easy for me to comment - to bail or not to bail will still be your decision. I read some long term FA'er are waiting to load more at my target price - they reckon this stock has strong cash reserve and are willing to hold out this rout and average down. I see the bottom of this sector to be quite near, but judging from other retailers' profit warning, it seems more bad news are in the horizon. Holding on will mean you are going to get this kind of "yoyo" effect, can be bad for the heart. So spare some thought along this line. Cheers.

Hi HC The books don't come much better than CDO 40 odd mil cash in the bank at 1/1/05 history excellent FA wise last 4 years Possible reasons for falling price 1/The market and sentiment to retail 2/They have not announced something of importance yet 3/Growth forcasts are 5% or less for the coming years If 3 is the answer this is going to be a bad few years ahead IMV. Cheers TA wise this is an untouchable unless you are a shorty

can i stick my bib in? the problem i see with FA advice/advisors is their advice is for themselves and like minded and more importantly same time purchasers, like they bought at issue 4/5 years ago,[or 2 years+ in resource, insurance] Anyway they are advising/reacting to some loss of paper Cap Gain yet the ones listening to them, perhaps taking the advice bought say this fin year and are looking at absolute LOSS.The Share Market is do your own thing,ALONE or ya may as well go to an Institution so ya got someone else to Blame. just my 2cents,[oh,oh,oooh] jr

DJ Why not put in a dollars worth and tell us about something we don't already know. Did you ever have the lot on the line, win or lose. Have to call you the lone ranger. Dogalog / dogalone, sounds OK. I am quickly seeing the floors in FA and the best way to learn is with the folding stuff. JST had a little fall i just heard. CDO will have to downgrade i reckon. Bought some more just to make sure i learn properly what not to do. Cheers

Dr, What you'd said is quite true. In hindsight, it's always better to sell (and buy back) than holding on. I don't think I have given my best advice from a trader's angle. Frankly I'd just told myself to keep my opinion until asked, or "ripe". As per the con-dis sector view, clearly I am too early and wrong there - something which I regret and should have waited for a longer while until reporting season is over. Now I am fringing on misleading others with false hope - it's not what I wanted. My apology to everyone.

MM,you end up putting it all on the line, when you gamble.I don't gamble no more.[no one to play cards with] The best description[that i read here]re gambling and the Stock Market was that with stocks you had a chance half/three quarters thru the race to get your bet back. A la stop loss and entry conditions are a Stockmarket STAPLE or rather Stable. Mark, you should not read my posts as being for you, exclusively but try and get a double or even quadruple meaning directed at d'other[s]. hi ho,HI HO jr [back from a nap]
