Perhaps if you feel this forum is such a waste of time you should go elsewhere, perhaps Spider might have some suggestions as to which would be a good venue for your insightful words of wisdom. I am sure he is looking for an alternate site as we speak. HC "... if you've got a chart, I have an opinion!"  rederob Member Username: rederob Post Number: 901 Registered: 10-2002 Rating: N/A Votes: 0 Saturday, June 11, 2005 - 10:38 pm:     started day with a post, so will end with one had a job on a construction site in the 70's (Wagerup refinery) that involved counting truck loads was told that "gatepost" system was best to use - just count in fives well, i was pretty raw and devised my own gatepost system, so it transpired later discovered that after every four gateposts, the fifth vehicle counted was to make the "gate" shape - by striking diagonally across the four posts already there however, and at great cost to management, my gates had five posts and then were struck through ( i had no idea the "strike" was one of the posts!!) management assumed i was actually counting 6 trucks per gatepost and paid the contractor on that basis it was the last time i was asked to tally the trucks do i enjoy posting!  ann Member Username: ann Post Number: 558 Registered: 04-2004 Rating:  Votes: 1 Saturday, June 11, 2005 - 10:42 pm:     HC, The beauty of this forum is its diversity. In people and subjects. A veritable cornucopia. If something doesn't appeal, you don't have to read it. Hence it is a diverse list you have cut and pasted, some I read, some I don't. There is something and someone here for everyone. Everyday there are great nuggets of golden wisdom. The trick is to find them amongst all the dross. No gold without dross........is that right Rederob? The problem is the diversity of egos in this place is not really a good thing from my point of view. Another point is I don't like to read others' posts when they contain too much pettiness. In fact I try to avoid them. But when they start posting in my thread I don't have a choice, do I? I only like to read my own post just in case you don't get it. Cheers.
