1) I may be BS'ing big time here on volume spike - but this is one thing I always do - when I see big volume spike, I'd always find out who did what to whom and why before I put my money down - just to be safe.

2) A similar case came to mind is CDO when Solly exited with a handsome profit - that stock has never regained its old glory. May be it's due to some other reason that it is not doing well, but at that time I reckon it was a good idea to investigate why such a big volume transaction - I am talking from hindsight here.

Dug,

If I understand Frank properly, it kind of means something like this - as shown in the attached chart. And if I am right, then, it's been quite commonly used by those who are aware of the SP "reaction" in chart reading.

For example McL has been saying quite often in his write up except he doesn't use the exact word. If you look at my NAB chart in the Banks, banks, banks thread I was saying something like that. But if Frank means some other things, then I am barking up the wrong tree...

NAB Daily

Cheers.

... for those who braved the trend and bought in today... here're some thoughts:

1) I know VGL (formerly IPEX?) is trying to reinvent itself but if it were to stay or still relying on its PC and related hardware biz, it's bad news because this market place is too competitive and unviable for small player such as VGL;

2) if it tries to squeeze itself into IT services and consulting sector, spare a thought on the trend of outsourcing and competing against cheap Indian "intellectual labourers" - I can't see there's a future for it too;

3) is there any other option available for this outfit? Unless it comes out with something really ground breaking I take a very dim view on its future, right now the market is moving towards this conclusion regardless what other "analysts" are saying...

4) for your money's worth avoid spending it on stock with name that starts with "V" and ends with "L" and contains "G" in the middle... duh!

1) if you are still riding this tiger, you are in for some trouble... I reckon it will drop to 60c. So watch it.
