How refreshing to hear at least one Liberal minister linking the petrol price to Iraq

How hypocritical of the PM and aspiring PM to deny it

There is of course a deeper reason for the presence in Iraq

Paying a premium in Australian blood for future American protection has been the conservative policy for decades

It was in Korea and Vietnam and it still is in Iraq

That is why bringing democracy and the rule of law (the one can not function without the other) is such a low priority in much of Africa ... no oil ... no Americans

Since Australian Governments have been woefully unable to establish the rule of law in Aboriginaland the forces of evil and third world standards of poverty are entrenched within Australian shores in the apartheid areas. So who are we to lecture others, without providing real resources on the ground ... not just troops?

Perhaps at last the conscience of the conservatives has been stirred

Ensuring that government benefits flow to education, food and health and not to alcohol, child abuse and pornography are only the start, not an end in themselves, important as those first steps are in every part of Australia

The Churches should be encouraged to re-enter the field of education, health and welfare everywhere, including Aboriginaland ... but the Churches have been weakened by widespread materialism, humanism and apathy

The errors of individuals in Churches are an irrelevant issue given the goodwill of the majority of Churchgoers ... but studying how to help others (the true function of Churches) is deeply unfashionable

Wealth has impoverished the spirit of Australia that used to be expressed as fairness and mateship

Now we have the wealth we don't have a clue what to do with it ... except for bigger less affordable houses, ever more luxurious holidays, bigger TV screens, and bigger everything that is ostentatious

Ultimately the forces of evil are at war with the forces of good in neglected families in Aboriginaland and White Australia Land, in de facto apartheid loving Australia

Christian morality is the answer to every problem

In a nutshell ... love one another

It means action not words

Suddenly, looks like there's going to be $500million for the first year of the intervention plan.

After years and years of neglect, it's the children once more for this 'too old and dishonest' PM(from the latest coalition leak of course!)

John Howard insists that it's not about politics.
Of course it's not! There's just that smell of the children overboard in it.

Why not go further? Why not apologize to the stolen generation?
They were children once too!

I didn't steal anyone and I don't John Howard did either.

Apartheid is right.

Visitor from African National Congress asked why on earth we putting so much effort into building apartheid here, did we not know how long it taken them to dismantle it...

Perfect example of problem in communities is land councils refusing issue leases for all those houses constructed with public monies... "but if we give people leases we give them rights !"

Elsewhere leases give rights and responsibilities.

Decent leases allow, encourage people who wish to create, to build, to improve efficiency, to get on with doing it... just like rest of the world so keen to do.

Land council mob all very worried, apparatchiks flew down to Canberra trying get legislation blocked in the Senate, or deferred until after the election...

Waiting with interest to see if changes actually get born, or forced post term in Senate...

In WA some busy negotiating agreements, figuring may get more through $hare$ in company as issuing shares may be easier than printing cash for some companies...

Risk of shares clearer with recent market price drops.

We live in interesting times...
