Question

You have been asked to invest a significant sum of money by a rich relative

You have been informed that market fluctuations are not as important as long term growth via price improvements and dividends

You have also been told that 50% of the funds may be used for short term trading in the same quality stocks selected for long term growth

50% of the funds are to be regarded as retracement tolerant
50% of the funds are to be regarded as retracement averse

Three weeks has been nominated as the maximum AVERAGE period that short term trading funds may be in a stock

If the stock has not hit a protective stop or moved up in three weeks the short term funds in that stock are to be re-invested in another quality long term stock that also shows short term trading potential using a combination of fundamentals for the long term view AND technical analysis for the short term transaction

TA is to be used for timing the best entry point for the long AND short term funds

Given that you invest in 10 stocks initially what results can be expected within 3 weeks?

Should there be any trading profits in the short term stocks and any out performance against the All Ordinaries Index by the long term stocks?

Your answers would ideally be marked by a trader who holds no weekend positions for your Technical Analysis understanding and by an out performing Superannuation Fund Manager for your Fundamental understanding, but the right to send your answers to the nearest financially minded friar for marking is reserved

Your time begins now

I come in peace to share my thoughts and to shine my candle light on possible long term opportunities
